Hello Moday Visitors to the Maja Design blog 🙂

It’s Maja here to share another inspiration piece I made using the sweetest Maja collection, Vintage Baby. I just love the cute images and pastel colours! Perfect for a layout featuring a cute photo in pastel colours 😉

mdenjoyAs there are two girls and one baby boy in the pic, I could safely use designs that include both pink and blue! I used the girl baby background page, but covered it with the striped paper so that only the doily frame shows up:

mdenjoy1Then I added a strip of tiny stars paper to give a vertical guide for my composition…

mdenjoy2…and also a couple of horizontal strips to balance the design. Here’s a piece of the signature strip (I love using them!) that I decorated with tiny pearls for more interest:

mdenjoy4The collection contains a lot of the cutest baby images and quotations you can think of, and they make great embellies to the page:

mdenjoy3I added a chipboard rocking horse, small flowers and a lot of chipboard hearts covered with white glitter that looks just like sugar icing (I told you, it’s a sweet layout 😉 ):

mdenjoy5And here’s a little guardian angel to look over the siblings:

mdenjoy6The cork clockfaces refer to the title: enjoy the moments, as they go by so quickly and you can’t go back!

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Baby: It’s a girl, Newborn, Flowers for mum, Adorable bs, Journaling cards blue, Die cuts, Small paper pad. Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec, Wycinanka; pom-pom trim: Lemoncraft; glitter: Ranger; cork clockfaces, ribbon: the ScrapBerry’s; angel: my stash.

“Hello! My name is Kristine Peshko. I am very happy to be a guest at your favorite spot in your blog. Maja Design is the paper that inspires me always! When I do something, everything goes by itself. For me it is an endless pleasure of working with paper, which is thought-out to the last detail! Scrapbooking to me is first of all albums. Paper Maja Design is ideal for albums. I am confident that over the years it will become more valuable. The quality of the paper on top. A collection of designs and sheets are always designed and fit together. I really like doing albums like with photos, working with emotions. So without photos while working on a composition and a certain style. Since I love the mix of media I can not help but note that the paper will withstand all tests. Embossing, sprays, pigments, mediums – in every project I add different techniques, I think, because of my work look more unique. Basically, I do work with a light touch of vintage. And also in the style of Shabby Chic, really like men and eco theme. Lately I’ve been using natural materials and inspired by the nature has given us. Many thanks for the invitation! I wish all readers of the blog of inspiration and creative success!”

Hello there, Maja Fans!

I’m so happy you’ve visited the blog today 🙂 I have a sweet welcome baby boy set I made using our beautiful Vintage Baby collection, combining the 12×12 papers and the small pad. The set consists of a photo frame and a matching card.

I selected some blue and beige designs from the collection to fit a boy frame:

mdbbsetI trimmed the papers and layered them and then fixed to a piece of cardboard. I cut out label shapes and made them into tags, I also die-cut sweet stars and decorated the top star with a button:

mdbbset1I made a pocket to fit a 9×13 cm photo by choosing one of the journaling cards, cutting out the central bracket label and matting it with a trimmed piece of paper, mounted on flat 3D dots so that the photo slides in more easily:

mdbbset5I love it when signature strips offer some additional designs you can use to decorate your projects! Here I cut off a piece to add to my “star-flag” 🙂

mdbbset2One of the signature strips from large sheets is included in the designs of the small pad 🙂 I used it under the photo pocket:

mdbbset3I also made a custom topper by sticking a round epoxy upon a postamp image of a baby and then cut it out. I matted the sticker with another circle and mounted upon a kraft die-cut star:

mdbbset4Then, using some left-over scraps and similar elements, I made a congratulation card:

mdbbset6mdbbset7mdbbset8And finally I put the photo frame into a shadow-box frame and the set is ready to be presented – as soon as the little prince decides to arrive 🙂

mdbbset0I really like the way the set turned out – and I’m really proud of myself as I managed not to use even a single flower! 😀

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Baby: small pad, Sweet little prince, Sweet little prince bs, Cutie, Newborn, Welcome little one, Die cuts, Journaling cards blue. Other: Dies: Sizzix, Joy! Crafts; glitter: Ranger; buttons, pom-poms, twine, cheescloth – from my stash.

See you!Maja-sign

Maja Design has an amazing group of world wide followers.  We thank you for such heart warming dedication and loyalty.

As a special “Thank You”  to the loyal followers who frequently share their work, we would like to feature a few of the wonderful artists that contribute to the Maja Design Facebook page:   Davinia Wood, Silje Kristin Aunan and Liz Marsden.

I am an English girl living in the Pilbara in Western Australia, pretty remote place! I live with my hubby and two pet hermit crabs. I started craft with wood craft and then discovered the gorgeous papers and stamps and that was it- I was hooked. I love colouring with Copics and Distress Inks. Why do I love Maja?  Well there is paper for everyone, every occasion and every season. It’s literally the most beautiful papers around. So beautiful I sometimes just want to keep them and look at them!!! They are divine. I found out about Maja through other crafty friends, I saw these beautiful papers had a look at their blogs and discovered Maja and have never looked back. I just love creating with these and part of the excitement of creating something new is playing around with these gorgeous papers!

My fave collection….oh heck hard one!…. I think it would have to be between
‘Life by the Sea’ ‘Sofiero’ and all of the Christmas papers!

You can find more of Davinia’s inspiring work on her blog here

I am Silje Kristin Aunan,  age 27,  living in Bodø; a city North
of Norway above the Polar Circle.

I started scrapbooking in November 2013. It all began with a few Christmas tags and cards in 2013 using Maja Design papers. This was and
still is therapy for me. This is my passion, and I spend almost all my spare time producing paper
projects.  As for her love of Maja papers?  Silje says,” To wait for a new collection from Maja Design, is the same as waiting for Christmas presents on Chrismas Eve, Only this is so much better. Sometimes it seems that the sheets are made perfectly for my paper projects.”

I love creating in a Vintage and Shabby Chic style and enjoy making 3D projects and special boxes.  I often challenge myself to make “impossible” paper creations.
“Nothing is impossible” is my mantra.

Silje designs for her local craft store TreL.no, kaBoks, producer of dies, and stamps and a challenge blog, Nordsalten Hobbyklubb.

You can find Silje on her blog here. You’ll also soon see her in the August/September edition of the  Norwegian Craft Magazine, magazine, Ett Trykk .

Silje is absolutely enjoying our two newest collections, Vintage Baby and Summer Crush.

Here are some of here gorgeous and creative pieces using both of those collections.

I would like to thank  Maja Design for the
honour of asking me to be a guest on the Maja Design Blog, how excited am I
!!!!!!!!

I have loved to create since childhood and was always to be
found colouring and  playing with paper etc.  Nothing much has changed, as I still love to colour with distress inks or copics and love to use Maja Design
papers.  They are my all time favourite and the ones I go to first, time and
time again,

My favourite style  is shabby Chic and the Maja Design
papers are perfect for this, the designs, weight, and strength of the
papers mean you can do so much with them, I love to add a little  water to
the edges of my paper to create folds for interest and they take this technique
so well, as seen on my shabby chic card,I also  love to add laces,
chipboard and anything that adds texture to my creations too,

One of my all time  favourite Maja Design collections
was the  Sofiero Limited collection, I loved the designs and colours very
much,  I tend also to use the Vintage Spring and Vintage Autumn Basics
quite a bit too, as  they adapt so easily For boys or girls creations,

You can find more of Liz’s amazing work on her blog  here. Here are some of Liz’s amazing pieces:

If you have not “LIKED”  us on Facebook yet, we invite you to join our page to stay informed on the newest releases. You can find us right here

Hi all!
Remember my layout for my youngest girl, Yiscka?
Today I have one project featuring my oldest, Tessa.
Made this one with the Vintage baby collection as well.

IMG_0062

My girl….so special to me!

20150510_115208

Created the background with a mix of gesso with 13arts magic powder. Made it quite thick so it gives all the big cracks which I love.

20150510_115233

The heart got the same treatment as the background. Added some extra paint.
Made the big blue splatters with Distress stain, Stormy sky.

20150510_115246

Lots of dimension!

20150510_115354

Some Prima flowers were painted blue.

The word ‘special’ from the bottom strip from Ephemera cards sheet.
