I wish you a warm welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, and I have a new card to share with you today. Spring has finally arrived. Flowers are blooming and the songbirds are nesting in my garden. I watch them from the window of my craft room, and they inspired this ‘Birds of a Feather’ card.
There are several layers of Maja Design’s Vintage Spring Basics paper collection that have been distressed and stitched together. The floral details are fussy cut from both the 12 x 12 and 6 x 6 collections.
A cheery bouquet of Prima flowers and paper cherry blossoms adorn the front of the card, along with die cut leaves and blossom flourishes. A bit of cheesecloth adds a soft touch.
A tiny bird’s nest peeks out from the corner of the bouquet. The photo below captures additional fussy cutting from the 6 x 6 paper collection.
The sentiment is stamped using archival ink. The finishing touch is a natural twine bow.
Maja Design Papers Used:
Additional Supplies: Prima flowers and nest, paper cherry blossoms, Magnolia Rose Leaf die, Wild Rose Studio Blossom Burst die, Red Lead stamp, archival ink, gesso, natural twine, cheesecloth, detail scissors, foam pop up adhesive, sewing machine and thread.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I wish you a day filled with joy and crafty adventures!
Hugs,
