Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

I’m very happy to post today, on Christmas Eve, which for many people is an important prelude to one of the two most significant holidays of the year. This evening many of us will sit at a festive table of the Christmas Eve supper with their loved ones to share meal, joy and peace. This is for me the true meaning of Christmas: being together in a greateful celebration of God’s love and our families’ love. And this is what my today’s layout is about: being together in joy and peace 🙂

For my page I used papers of the Traditional Christmas collection. First I layered torn pieces of papers to create a patchwork-like colourful background for the photo I put in the centre and decorated with a cluster of poinsettias, leaves and snowflakes. I also added some hand-cut tags, an elf image and finished it all with liquid enamel drops to imitate snow falling:

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Magnolia, Craft&You Design; glitter die-cuts: BoBunny; accrylic snowflakes: Making Memories; enamel dots: Daily Art.

This page shows what I love about Christmas: family time, often with those of us whom we don’t see for most of the year. But we must also think of so many of us who will not be able to do that due to pandemic restrictions that in many countries forbid to gather together. Such times remind us what is most important in our lives: family, love, togetherness – and perhaps we need difficult times to keep this in mind?

I do hope you’d be able to celebrate Christmas with your loved ones and that the New Year will bring us all the change for better. I wish that for you and for myself! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

Merry Christmas Maja Design friends.  Jennifer Snyder here with you to share some Christmas home decor and cheer using Maja Design’s new Christmas collection,  Traditional Christmas.

Take a look at this gorgeous seasonal delight with rich reds and Christmas prints. Here are the individual papers used from the collection: “By the Fire” A and B sides,  “Family Gatherings”.

The wooden sled decor piece is from Creative Embellishments and comes ready to finish.  I covered it with the three Maja Design 12×12 sheets because I love the combination of patterns in this collection.

I also embellished with chipboard pieces from Creative Embellishments and flowers from my stash.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a joyful healthy 2021.  Thanks for sharing a part of  your day with us.

 Welcome Maja friends!

Have you seen the latest Maja Design collection by name ‘Traditional Christmas’ ?!

Great classical christmas colours, green and red, plaid, dotted … which gave me the idea to create a cheerful canvas as a kitchen picture.

We love baking cookies with the kids in the run-up to christmas.

It always takes a little longer and the kitchen is unrecognizable afterwards, but it’s always a lot of fun.

I used the paper sheets ‘Beautiful decorated’; ‘Peace and Joy’ and some papers

from the 6 x 6 suitable collection.

Beautifully decorated                   Peace and joy

Tips

the apron is simply indispensable when baking, so that the little ones don’t forget, I have designed a simple model

the paper sheet ‘Family gathering’ was perfect for this idea, with two ribbons

and a few punched out motifs you can create them very quickly and easily

some close up’s

the flour just sticks everywhere 😉

Wish you a merry and relaxed christmas especially in these difficult times.

Make the best of it!

Many thanks!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In my previous post I shared some Winter Is Coming collection inspiration, so today the time is for the other new release, Traditional Christmas. With its lovely vintage colour combo of ecru beige, muted red and soft green is just perfect for traditional Christmas cards. And so I made two 🙂

I chose the same background layering of papers, with light top pattern, for both cards and to make the patterns well visible in a small space of the cards, I used the small pad version of the papers:

In one card I arranged a manger scene, decorated with handmade foamiran poinsettia and some die-cut leaves. I heat-embossed the sentiment directly onto the background with gold ep. Together with metallic god cardstock of the manger and glitter leaves, the card beautifully shines and glimmers against the light:

For the other card I went more clean&simple – that is, for my taste 😉 I just applied some intricately cut chipboard snowflakes and sentiment and added some liquid pearls dots. A touch of glitter and opalescent sequins add glam to the card:

With a lot of darker patterns in the Traditional Christmas collection it’s still easy to make brighter projects too – don’t you just love this versatility of each Maja collection? I certainly do!

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers (in the small pad version):

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; dies: Magnolia, Craft&You Design; stamp: Lemonade; glitter, liquid pearls: Ranger; sequins: my stash.

Have you made any Christmas cards yet? If you’re still looking for some inspiration, I hope you’d find my cards helpful 🙂

See you soon!

Hello friends.  Jennifer Snyder here with a sweet Christmas card crafted using Maja Design’s new collection, Traditional Christmas.  This collection is unlike any Maja has created.  It features adorable Christmas elves that will make you smile.

Here are the papers that were used from the collection: Traditional Christmas Die Cuts sheet, Holly and Pine, By the Fireplace.

Die cutsHolly and pineBy the fireplace

True to it’s name, the Traditional Christmas collection showcases all the rich reds and greens of the season with the traditional plaids, ginghams, polka dots and elves!  yep adorable elves.

The card today features my three solid gray kitties who are sitting in the window watching and waiting for the visitor.  I’m sure they are all hoping the gift box is filled with toy mice, great tasty cat treats and some balls to roll.

The cat and window die set used is from Spellbinders Dec kit club.  The 3D gift box button and glitter Noel sentiment are from Buttons Galore and More.

Wishing you the Merriest of Christmas seasons filled with crafty joy and Maja design papers.

Thank you for stopping here.
