I’m a bit sad writing this post, as it will be my last post on the Maja Design blog as a DT member. It has been a true honour to design for this amazing company and to get to work with some of the  most gorgeous high-quality papers available and I’m really sad to say goodbye. But I did not want to make this post a sad one and would love to share two new projects plus some of my favourite Maja projects on the blog today.

First off are the two projects that I newly created especially for this blogpost. They are two tags that I made with my all time favourite Maja Design collection: Vintage Autumn Basics. On the first tag I focused, once again, on the pink and red papers from this collection.

Chic

Supplies:

Maja Design: patterned papers (“Vintage Autumn Basics” collection: No. II, No. III-bs, No. VI,  No. XVI, Heritage; “Vintage Frost Basics“: 6th of December-bs, 4th of December, Days of December; “Vintage Spring Basics”: 6th of May); Prima Marketing: resin bird; Bazzill Basics: cardstock; Action: pearls; Tim Holtz: bookplate & frames die, distress ink; My Favourite Things: doily die;

My background consists of several layers of paper and a grid pattern, which I cut out from the “Vintage Frost Basics” – 4th of December sheet and then attached to the tag with foamtape. After that, I cut out a tag from the “Heritage” paper and also cut out two clocks and a flower. I stapled them on top of a die-cut doily and a cut out ornament from the “Vintage Frost Basics” – Days of December paper to create a rosette in the centre of my tag. I also added a resin bird as a cute finishing touch. The sweet butterflies were cut out from the “Vintage Spring Basics” – 6th of May paper.

My second tag showcases the more masculine side of the “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection. I used mainly blue, brown and grey papers to make this tag. I also cut out some pretty images from the paper to embellish my tag.

Us tag

Supplies:
Maja Design: patterned papers (“Vintage Autumn Basics”: No. XV, No. XIV, No. XIV-bs, No. XVI, No. XIII-bs, Heritage; “Vintage Frost Basics“:  16th of December); Prima Marketing: resin birds, light bulb; Bazzill Basics: white cardstock; Tim Holtz: bookplate & frames die, distress ink.

Us tag2

On this tag I used the hot-air balloons as my main focus of attention. They are cut out from the “No. XIV” paper and were attached to the tag with foam tape. I adhered a fussy cut clock on top of two of the hot-air balloons and further embellished them with resin birds and a light bulb. On top of the smallest balloon I adhered a text strip. I further embellished the tag with some pearls.

Booo

To finish off this post I thought I would share some of my favourite creations with Maja Design that I have made throughout this year. I’m sharing one favourite project for each paper collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by on the blog today and also for always leaving such sweet comments. It really means a lot to me. I will miss our little “Maja family” to pieces, but I will also miss you all!

I would like to say thank you to Marie and Jenny for everything that they have done for me! This has been an amazing year for me. I’m sad it has come to an end, but I’m happy that I had the honour to be part of this team for one year and will never stop loving and using the gorgeous Maja collections. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Happy New Year everyone!
