Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂
May is traditionally the month of First Communions in Poland, so I’m making a lot of cards and other gifts these days. And today I have an exploding bozx to share that I made, as money is still quite a popular gift, and there’s no more elegant way of giving money than an exploding box 🙂
As you can see, I used the beautiful Sofiero collection – its delicate patterns and subtle colour palette are simply perfect for the occasion. I decorated the box lid with flowers in matching colours:
After opening, the box reveals the contents:
I decorated on of the sides with a stamped girl image that I hand-coloured with Distress inks, and a chipboard cross with the flower cluster – I die-cut hte vine leaves from the green paper of the Monochrome pad – I just love this addition!
There’s also a space for writing in wishes, and a dimensional chipboard chalice, decorated with another flower cluster:
…and the band for sliding in a roll of banknotes 😉
I really like the way the papers go with flowers and embellishments, giving a soft and delicate look. Now I only need a box for a boy! 🙂
Here’s what I used:
Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec, Anemone; stamps: Whiff of Joy, Lemonade; dies: Magnolia, Spellbinders; flowers:Â Wild Orchid Crafts; Distress inks, glitter: Ranger;Â wax string, bling, washi tape: my stash.
And what is your idea for the First Communion gift?
See you soon!
