Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Summer has traditionally been a wedding season and so wedding cards have been in great demand too.  I like to keep a small stash of cards just in case, and therefore today I’m sharing two cards that differ by the colour only:

I kept the design pretty simple, so it would be easy to recreate the card in any colour – I used neutral sand as the background for the stencil heart shape filled with flowers:

I also included a layer of patterned paper, choosing the Comfy sheet from the Denim&Girls collection, as it perfectly corresponds to the leafy heart motif:

I completed the design with acrylic opalescent hearts some cheesecloth and an embossed chipboard sentiment:

The same is true for the other card in the turqouise palette:

In the Denim&Friends collection you will find the Jeans&T-shirt paper that has the same leafy pattern but in turqouise 😉

And I really like the dimension the flowers give:

I like the way they turned out: simple, yet elegant and delicate. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Other: stencil: Agateria; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; acrylic hearts, string, cheesecloth: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Hello  Sweet Maja fans,

Lenet here and this time I bring you this Layout.

I didn’t use one specific collection this time , almoste every piece of of paper I used for this layout are leftovers I saved from other projects I made.

Except for the base /background , for this I used Monochromes shades of Celebration -Vintage Teal and  Shades of Sofiero White/Sand.

I always keep every snippet , it’s such a waste to throw away these lovely papers.

I always will find a use for it , I deal for making cards or like this a layered layout.

You can tuck them behind another piece and create the illusion of a larger piece that is peeking out a little from underneath it.

Here I have some close up for you.  The little frames come from the local dollarstore.

Flowers and leaves are from Prima and 47 and Market

The white sticks come from my own stash , I found them between my Christmas decorations .

Thank you very much for visiting , I hope I gave you some inspiration with my layout.

Love

Hello sweet Maja fans, today it’s my turn again to give you some inspiration

I’m so in love with the Maja papers , I find it so heartbreaking to throw the left overs  away so I always save almost every snippet I have left .

These snippets are great for smaller project like cards.

This one I made with left overs from my last layout that I made using the summertime collection.

Like my layouts I use foamtape for my cards as well to build layers and dimension.

For the leaves I used dies from my favorite things and cut them out of the celery/sage paper from the shade of sofiero monochromes

And again I used the cut out roses from  the smell the roses paper, and tucked some folded flat prima flowers behind the big white flower from wild orchid crafts.

Thank you for watching and I hope I gave you some inspiration.

Cover card!

Hi everyone! Today I will show you a card I made for the magazine Ett Trykk with Maja papers of course;) I have used the beautiful papers from the Sofiero Collection, new edition, and also a Monochromes paper.

Sofiero-P1

The stamps are from Stempelglede. I have painted the butterflies with Distress Ink, re-inkers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. And under them I have added some Sissal grass. I just love the spring feeling these papers gives! So maybe this card can brighten up a dark and windy Autumn day.

Good morning, Maja Design friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I know many of you have already celebrated Mother’s Day, but in Poland this holiday comes on May 26th. And so for my today’s post I have two simple shabby chic cards for moms 🙂

mdmom

Both are made using the Sofiero collection – soft, delicate colours and beautiful designs are simply perfect for the occasion. And so in the first card I layered sand-coloured papers in the background and placed two cut-out images on top. Then I added the sentiment in a decorative die frame and some mini roses:

I slightly distressed the edges of papers to give them a more shabby look. Small pearls are a cherry on top 😉

For the background of the other card I embossed the Monochromes white/sand paper to add some texture:

Then I placed a flowery tag on top onto which I stamped my sentiment. I put a decorative chipboard frame on top so that the sentiment pops out 🙂

I finished my card off with a small flower cluster:

Though simple, the cards still were a kind of a challenge for me: I had to make them flat enough to go into envelopes to be mailed 🙂 With my love for dimension that was sooo hard! 🙂

And here’s what I used:

Other: chipboard: Scrapiniec; stamps: Lemonade; dies: Sizzix; brads: Craftmania; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; ribbon, string: my stash.

Have a nice day and see you soon!
