Hello crafters.

This week the weather was so perfect for the early spring that I could easily say each day – What a Lovely Day. This card was inspired by such a day

CardEO  the only reason that I don’t like sunny weather is that I am having issues with making the photo of my project. So here is one more:

CardLovelyDay

I have tired of the cold weather and dull winter, and my soul needs something fresh and airy, so this shabby card is what I need by now.

I used a very soft and gentle Sofiero collection, unfortunately it was a limited edition and I have been keeping it to create a mini album. But one card is somathing that can be a part of mini album too, isn’t it?

Close  I used an acrylic base to create my card. so that the background paper can be seen well too. On the top of the acrylic base I added some layers of papers as well as some dimenisonal paint from Shimmerz. So you might have noticed that my shabby style is a mix of shabby and some mixed media techniques.

InsideCard  Have a Lovely day.

Good morning , dear Friends.

I can’t believe, the winter is almost over and tomorrow is the first day of spring. I need to confess, I suffer when it’s cold, either when it is hot. That is why I love Spring and Summer days.

So here is my Layout welcoming the Spring.

VCCCLOElenaOlinevich   I tried to create something in shabby chic style , but added some art mediums to stay true to my style. Anyway, it seems to be soft and delicate at the same time

Butterfl

I made some fussy cutting, all those butterflies and blooming branches are great for that kind of creations .

lacetrims   I added lace trims and some chipboard branch, a few machine stitching, flowers and here you have a heart – to – heart photo with so many soft and textile details.

sneak  The new time has come and I feel a necessity in renewing myself, so I will keep on experimenting with light colors and shabby style. So if you are interested in it, stay tuned, I will make a video tutorial on  some of my shabby creation during this month.

So if you don’t want to miss it, I highly encourage you to subscribe on Maja Design Channel on YouTube, there will be more tips and tutorials from our Creative Team.

Hello Maja Friends,

though today is a Valentine’s Day and I guess you are waiting for something romantic from me, I decided to make something different and it’s about my 2 very special and beloved men.

TogetherLOElenaOlinevich  This photo was taken during our week end walk, and I realized that these 2 are my strength and support, and I am a happy Mom and a happy wife.

While making the choise between what collection to pick, I knew for sure that Vintage Summer Bascics is something that suits this photo perfectly.
IMG_2394  I did some fussy cutting as well as some mixed media work on the background using some of my favorite stamps and art mediums

I like the way Marie has filled this collection with a variety of blue shades and using multiple number of them doesn’t make the creation to look dull but adds the depth.

I hope you are having a pleasant evening with you beloved and preciuos family members

and thank you for stopping by today.

Hello Maja Friends! It’s so freezing outside in my country, -21 Celcius and the only way to warm up is to enjoy hot tea with a family.

I have made a mini album about some of our evenings during tea time.

TeaPotMain  I used so cozy and sweet Fika collection. It’s more than a perfect for such kind of photos.

I used an acrylic album as a base and left some pages clear, the others were covered with papers, so you can watch the background papers as well. isn’t it awesome? such a good way to save on your papers and to use them properly, so you won’t miss 2 sides.

all those berries, chocolate and lilac tones make me dreaming about having tea time parties outdoors , at our country house

Good morning Maja Fans. It’s quite freezing outside in my city, so while trying to warm my hands after the cold and snow day, I jave been looking through some photos taken in the spring and summer before.

And this is what I have found and decided to make a Layout with it immediately.

TogetherLOElenaMain  Though this shot was taken in the garden in bloom, I used  Vintage Autumn Basics collection, as some hues of it reminds about mauve and lilac flowers in the spring.

IMG_2073

Those roses printed on the background paper look really vintage and it even strengthen the romantic feeling in my opinion.
I combined purple, mauve with the blue, it was unexpected for  me, as I wanted to go ususal way and use just shades of pink and white, but I like the result, it makes it look airy and fresh

IMG_2077

I added some vintage acrylic embellishments, so they are vintage too – frame and Fleurs de Lis

Fleurdelis  So now I don’t know when I start working on the photos, taken this winter. Probably during the hot summer days.

Vintage Autumn Basics: No VI, No I,No VIII,  No X. Prima Marketing flowers and embellishments, Clear Scraps acrylic embellishment, 2Crafty chipboard, Shimmerz sprays and paints, Ranger alcohol inks, VildaStamps, strings.
