Hi Maja fans! Today I have created a very sunshine-y, love-y, happy card for you! I must admit, after Valentine’s Day, it is nice to get away from the traditional colors of love and do something a little different. So I chose a yellow & sand color combination for this love card…Making it a perfect gift for a wedding, a new baby or just because!

love 1

For this card, I used the beautiful Life in the Country Collection which is full of homespun designs. I love that even among the bright patterns and colors of this collection, one can find beautiful, subdued hues like this gorgeous gingham/striped print which I have used today!

love 2

I used the “In The Hammock” paper, layering both the front and backside of this lovely print for the base of the card. At the top, I added a die-cut circle border from some yellow pieces of scrap paper I had, and I added a matching yellow ribbon, along with a vintage button.

Just below that, I adhered a die-cut banner with a very sparkly, special little heart. I love how the vintage glass glitter mimics the color of the paper and adds a touch of shiny happiness to the card.

love 3

Just below that, I stamped a sentiment using some TCM stamps, and layered it onto an embossed and hand-cut doily. To finish the card, I layered lace, Maya Road trim, a pearl flourish and a pretty little trinket key (which used to be on one of my favorite necklaces that had seen better days).

Just below that, you can see some of the beautiful Maja paper peeking out in a lovely scallop, which I hand cut following the lines of the embossing folder I used. A little flower and button combo finish off this quick, and fun card!

Supplies: Maja Design Paper (In The Hammock), Maya Road bubble trim, White cardstock, ZVA pearl flourish, Dienamics circle border die, Papertrey Ink In Stitches Die, The Craft’s Meow stamp. Buttons, Lace, Trinket Key, Ribbon, and Yellow Paper are from my stash.

I hope this little card adds a touch of love and sunshine to your day!

Until Next Time,

Good morning! Ivana here today, with another project to share with you. The project I am sharing today, is all about love and Valentine’s Day. With only a week until this love-filled celebration, I couldn’t help but get inspired to create something for the occasion.

Mid Release Hop 1

I wanted to create something romantic, and elegant, but a little different than the usual pink/red combination we see with Valentine’s Day designs. So I found the perfect paper to use in the Crea Diem collection! A soft lilac, with pink undertones, it was just what I was looking for!

mid release hop 2

I added a fair amount of stamping to this project, using stamps from The Craft’s Meow and Papertrey Ink. I also added in a few dark brown accents, using Maja Design paper form the Vintage Summer Basics Collection.

mid release hop 3

For the bottom of the card, I layered a die-cut felt heart, onto a banner, which I die-cut from the same paper I used on the base of the card. I added a bit of lace, liquid pearls and some stamped leaves for lots of pretty layers and feminine touches.

mid release hop 4

I had a few scraps left over from making the card, so I made this little tag to match!

All the elements are the same, just arranged into a little tag instead of a card.

Supplies: Patterned Paper by Maja Design (Crea Diem: Fylld Av Karlek, Vintage Summer Basics:1905), White Cardstock, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut Stain, Versa Magic Ink (Pixie Dust, Spring Pansy) Papertrey Ink Dies (Button Boutique, Life is Sweet, In Stitches, Tiny Tags, Heart Prints), Papertrey Ink Stamps (Life Is Sweet), The Craft’s Meow Stamps (Stitched Sentiments, Inspired by Audrey), Liquid Pearls, items from my stash (button, pin, lace, felt, glitter).

If you’re stuck on ideas for Valentine’s Day projects, I hope you’ll think of all the beautiful colors that are so lovely for this special day, even if they don’t fit into the red or pink family! And with all the beautiful choices of paper colors Maja Design offers, I am sure it will be very had to pick just one color combo…I know it is for me!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all!

Good Day Maja Fans! Ivana here today, with a little shabby-chic creation! It is my first Maja Design post and I am so excited to be sharing my project with you today!

january 1

I don’t know about you, but it wasn’t that long ago that I first learned about Maja Design, at which point I thought to myself “Why is it that I have not heard of this incredible paper company before?!”.

Well, I am certainly glad that I did find out about it, and I am so happy to further spread the word to other Maja newbies, because I am telling you, this paper is incredible, and deserves to be known world-wide!

All of the beautiful colors and designs blend so nicely together, and for a shabby/vintage gal like myself, I couldn’t have found a more perfect collection of papers to work with than Vintage Summer Basics.

This card features paper from the Vintage Summer Basics collection, along with paper from the Antligen collection.

january 2

For the base of the card, I layered some Maja paper along with white cardstock, and a pretty white doily die-cut.

january 3

I then added a tiny glassine bag, with a handmade clay frame and pretty banner and lace layered over it.  Just below the frame, is a die-cut heart border with liquid pearl accents.

january 4

I decided to add the sentiment onto a sweet little tag, and then I tucked it inside the glassine bag.

I am so happy to share my first Maja Design creation with you today, and I cannot wait until  my next post!

Supplies: Antligen Collection (Vårdagjämning), Vintage Summer Basics Collection (1933), white cardstock, handmade clay frame, die-cut doily, banner, tag and heart border from Papertrey Ink, stamped sentiments from The Craft’s Meow, Martha Stewart Deep Vine border punch, lace and glassine bag from my stash.

Until then,
