December is here and it’s time to present our final Season Girl. As promised we have chosen her from the participants of our Mood board challange. Looking through all the contributions I once again was amazed by all the great creativity our scrappy World holds. And I just have to take the chance and say a big THANK YOU to all of you that have participated! It’s been a true pleasure to see your lovely work. I can also tell you that the Mood board challange will be back in January…

Now back to the girl who got the last guest spot of the year. She is a devoted MajaDesign fan and she has actually won the Mood board challange twice. We love her very detailed, shabby romantic style.

A big Hurrah for Amy Voorhuis! Our fantastic Winter girl.
Winter---Amy-Voorthius

Here is what she has to say about herself:

“My name is Amy Voorthuis and I live in one of the smallest countries on earth – The Netherlands, with the love of my life Jeroen. Nine years and some what ago we became parents to the most handsome boy in the world Kevin.
I work as a Optician in a optic store. Done that for about 14 years now and I love what I do,  you have to be creative in many ways in this profession.
Scrapbooking became my creative outlet about 10 years ago when my mom took a present home from my aunt Ellen who lives in Florida.
I think you can guess what that was – “a scrapbook”. My aunt still regrets it because she really wants to scrap with me and can’t because of the distance. When I was asked to be a wintergirl for Maja Design I was so excited! I really love to work with these beautiful papers, and I gladly excepted the wonderful offer.
Thanks again for asking me!
If you want to see more of my work you can visit my blog here http://www.amyvoorthuis.blogspot.se/

Hugs xox Amy”

Amy describing:
“First I pencil draw the shape of this thermometer then I stitched the edges with my sewing machine and distressed it!

I used a stencil on it so it looked like broken ice and stamped randomly on the thermometer for the finishing touch I used a snow writer one my flowers and chipboard!”

“On my card I used the same techniques as on the thermometer!”

“On my layouts I used lots of Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays and embossing powders and lots of layers and always my sewing machine and I love to distress every paper I get my hands on. :-)”

Coffe-in-the-ArbourThere’s a smell of newly baked sponge cake in the air. The raspberries are ready to be harvested and the roses are in full bloom. The bees are busy working the flourishing garden. The white furniture from times of old has been repainted and looks almost new. The sun warms up the last grass straws that are still covered in due. The coffee is waiting in the arbour.

Vintage Frost Basics

The magic days of December…
The window ledge is covered by frost. The first snowflakes of the season find their way to the ground as the children play outside. They raise their heads towards the sky and welcome them with joy. The winter has come to stay.
Vintage Frost Basics is o
ur fourth and final Vintage basics collection. Just like the first three it has been designed to be timeless and mixable with the other basics collections.
Among the 24 double-sided designs you will find a Christmas die cut sheet, perfect for the last quick and easily made Christmas cards. But above all the Vintage Frost Basic collection captures the feeling of the knitted gloves and rosy cheeks that belongs to cold winter days…
