Hello Maja Design fans!
I hope you are having a wonderful time, especially if it’s vacation season for you! The project which I’m sharing today is made using one of the most summery MD collections-Life in the country. When you have it in your hands, it feels like a swedish summer.

Other: Dies: Magnolia, Sizzix, flowers: WOC

With this card I would like to say thank you for the time we’ve spend together on this space. It’s also a good bye from my side…life just got too busy and I’m taking a break from all my DT commitments. Maja Design is such a wonderful company and keeps a special place in my heart. I’m sure you will see more of fantastic MD papers in my projects within a few months. But for now, the break feels like a right things to do…

Although the weather is not showing it right now and it’s feeling more like autumn, the summer is surely here! So how about some summer inspiration? Here’s one of my favorite memories, the Moonlight beach – truly deserved it’s name on this day. The light is just amazing and I used it as a colour inspiration for the whole page.

I can’t keep calm, I’m turning 40!!!!
(that would be my line). Luckily, my friend who turned 40 the other day, was a true role model of a fabulous woman, at the best of her years!
The project which I’m sharing today is a little gift which I have prepared for her on this special day, a card with a matching decorated box.
DSC_0521md The box is decorated in a feminine style: delicate colours, flowers, some lace and bling!DSC_0526 mdClose up of the card: the text is found on pinterest and printed out on a piece of MD paper.DSC_0529md
Supplies Maja Design: Nyhavn-The sunny side, Vintage Summer – 1933, Crea Diem – Känn dig själv, Den oersättliga tiden.
Supplies others: Stamp – Tim Holtz, Flowers – Wild Orchid Crafts, stencil, bling, heavy gesso-Prima.

Thanks for stopping here for a moment! Have a great day!!!

I just can’t resist the trees in bloom! Every spring I’m taking hundreds of photos in our garden when the cherry, apple and pear trees are blooming. Here’s the one from this year, with my favorite flower in the foreground 🙂DSC_0472_md
I guess you could use Vintage Spring Basics for many occasions, but we must all agree that this collection is the first choice for a spring project!Vintage-Spring-Basics-PHere I picked a paper which makes a great background : it has a very subtle design and additionally I white-washed it with gesso, to have a better base for using watercolours. Just wanted to play with watercolours techniques, like masking, stamping, even stamping with the mask – to name just a few which you can see here. Eventually I complemented the vibrant colours with the pastel scraps of Vintage Spring papers and some die-cut leaves.

Supplies Maja Design: Vintage Spring – 1st of April, Days to remember, 1st of March
Other : Chipboards – Blue Fern Studios, Stamps – Prima, Watercolours -Luminarte, Flowers- WOC, Doily from my stash.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Hey there!
Just few weeks ago a kind DHL guy came with a special delivery – a box of the most yummy pastel deliciousness, 2 sets of Vintage Baby collection. I just had to reach for one my favorite photos from my daughter’s baby time and use it again in a layout.

It’s just amazing, how effortless it is to combine MD patterns-the papers coordinate so beautifully so it hardly requires any planning. I have used 2 sheets here, both front and backsides and I also kept the border strip in the base paper. I have added some stamping and stencil just to fill up the arrangement without covering the beautiful paper patterns too much. I have also few small pieces of Crea Diem papers, I always use this collection to add black and white accents.

Supplies Maja Design:
Vintage Baby- Flowers for Mum, Cherish
Crea Diem-Det skrivna består
Supplies others:
Mask-Prima, flowers-Wild Orchid Crafts, Feather – Blue Fern Studios, Gesso-13arts
