Hello, dear friends! I’m so happy you’re here with us on this wonderful Monday. It’s Nancy on the blog with you, here to share a new card. I hope everyone who is a mother had a lovely Mother’s Day, at least in the U.S., as I know it’s on a different day in other countries.

Today’s card is created for my daughter’s birthday. I want her to have a card with all of my love put into it. That’s really what crafting and art are about for me; putting my heart and soul into a creation that will hopefully brighten someone’s day. I’ve been drawn to pastels recently, which seems to happen this time of year, so for this card I’m using the beautiful Coffee in the Arbor collection.

The two large flowers are crafted from the paper collection, with the addition of smaller purchased flowers to bring out the pretty yellows in the paper.

The florals sit atop a base of venice lace and are intertwined with a loopy twine bow.

Each layer of paper is distressed and stitched. The sentiment stamp is perfect for my sweet girl’s birthday.

Below is a peek at the interior of the card.

Welcome, friends! It’s Nancy with you on the Maja Design Blog. I’m thrilled you’re visiting with us on this beautiful day. Spring is well and truly arrived offering up it’s gifts of bright and beautiful flowers. I look out of my craft room window and marvel at the blooms in my garden, which are my inspiration for today’s card. I’m drawn once again to Maja Design’s Coffee in the Arbour paper collection. The colors are so fresh and cheery, just like a spring day!

Design papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. Handmade florals crafted from design papers are the focal point of the card. Frothy lace and loopy twine bows add a feminine touch.

Below is a close up of the stamped sentiment. I enjoying creating cards to keep on hand to suit multiple occasions, and this one will be perfect for those times I need a last minute card.

The curlicues are made by twisting strips of design paper around the tiny end of a paint brush. A script stamp adds a bit of interest to the corners.

Below is a peek of the interior of the card. Coordinating design papers and script stamping give a cohesive appearance with the front of the card.

Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today using a combination of papers from Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour and the Vintage Spring Basics collections.  Over the years, I’ve found that so many of the collections can be used together and mix so very well.  It’s part of the fun of using Maja Design.

The beautiful papers used from the Coffee in the Arbour collection are :
Lemon Meringue Pie, Flourishing Garden,  Homemade Lemoncurd – all shown below.
The Coffee in the Arbour  collection is bright and cheery.  It’s  like sitting on the porch on a warm sunny with a tall glass of lemonade.   Since it’s Autumn in NY and the weather is turning chilly, these warm sunny days are going to be just a memory, so I’ll be looking at the paper and smiling, remembering and enjoying.
As I mentioned, I also used papers from the Vintage Spring Collection.  It’s blooming with flowers and butterflies.
These are the papers I chose:
 6th of May paper
7th of May

The sweet butterflies are cut from the 6th of May paper in the collection.  They make for the perfect finishing touch.

Thank you for stopping here today.
You can see all the Maja Design collections here.

Hello, friends! It’s Nancy here, wishing you a warm welcome to the Maja Design Blog. I hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday. I can’t believe it’s the first week of September, with many parts of the world ushering in the first signs of autumn. Mother nature isn’t quite ready for fall in my sub-tropical corner of the world, where she’s gifting us with sunny, hot, and humid days.

The heat draws me to all things cool and refreshing, and once again Maja Design’s gorgeous Coffee in the Arbour collection comes to the rescue. The soft blues and raspberry hues are just what I’m looking for.

The papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. A trio of circles draw the eye across the card. The first is die cut from the center layers and popped up for dimension. The circular resin frame is layered over another die cut circle to the left.

Handmade and purchased blooms cascade from right to left, accented die cut leaves, glass pearls, and twine bows. The sentiment is hand stamped onto design paper.

The lower corner to the right features berry vines and ‘Raspberry Lemonade’ from the design paper, which are my inspiration for this card.
