Hello Maja Fans,

The summer is almost over and I can’t believe that it has gone so fast. I tell it to myself each year, actually.

Well, when talking about the Summer I always think about the flowers. and this time Chamomiles are my focus.

I found such a matching paper sheet for my idea – from Coffee in the Arbor collection – White Daisies and draw the flowers on the background with acrylics.

Actually, it’s quite easy to do since they are quite simple to copy.

Also I arranged the flower cluster around my circle title and added the fussy cutting butterflies.

Though the butterflies are mostly blue they match the papers and the mood perfectly.

I don’t say farewell to the Summer Season, I do believe we have more summer days early Autumn too.

Hello Lenet here  and this time I mad you this brag book.

Because is a minialbum that you carry in your purse so you can show and brag about your Family, pets or Any other thing you want to show or carry with you , I kept it quit simple.

Embellishments will get lose in your bag and destroy  the way  your lovely album looked. It closes with a magnet.

The album contains 6 pockets with a acetate window and  notch closure at the back so the pictures are protected against any “dirt” , dust and other tiny things that can damage the pictures.

For this Album I used the Coffee in the Arbour collection , thought that was a good one to use for this project because  you share a lot drinking a good cup of coffee with friends right ?

Thank you very much for  visiting.

Hope you like my bragbook . Love to see you next time and don’t forget to comeback to take a peek at the gorgeous projects the other MajaGirls make for you.

Spring Tea Room

Hello, crafty friends! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog. It’s Nancy back today with a new card to share. We’ve had temperatures between 70-80 degrees in my corner of the world. Our Camellia’s are in full bloom and spring is in the air, at least for the moment. It really has me feeling like springtime has arrived, and hence the inspiration for this card, the spring tea room!

The spring tea room is a unique traditions of the southern United States. Each spring local churches host a daily tea for a week or two. They come complete with lovely music, the most delectable homemade luncheon choices, scrumptious desserts, and of course, tea! Each lady is escorted to their table by a formally clad southern gentleman. It’s all very genteel, and after enjoying your dining experience you can shop from a vast variety of handmade items and goodies in the tea room shop. If you’re ever visiting this region you should definitely plan to attend a church tea room.

Maja Design’s beautiful ‘Coffee in the Arbour’ paper collection is the absolute perfect paper collection to bring this card to life.

There are several stitched base layers and much dimension throughout, though it is difficult to capture it on camera.

The blooms are handmade from the paper collection and sit atop a chipboard frame featuring flowers and flourishes. A dusting of gesso tones down some of the brighter color. It’s a little trick you can use when you want to achieve a more muted look.

The tea embellishments are fussy cut from the paper collection.

Below is a peek at the interior of the card.

Hi everyone! Here I am with a cute little tag I made with the gorgeous Coffee in the Arbour collection! I just love the beautiful colours, and for this one I have combined the soft purple with the soft green colours. Hope you like it!

The image from Magnolia is coloured with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers on water colour paper called The Langton. I use synthetic brushes, mostly size 0 and 000.  I have placed some Liquid pearls in her hair. The stamp is masked together with a sentiment stamp from the same collection (Upgrade Le Fleur).

The “Join me for a Coffee?” is cut out from the sheet called “Delicious Moments”.

The beautiful flowers are from Petaloo and Wild Orchid Crafts. I think they fit the papers so well.

Here a close up. The big rose is from WOC. I have placed some Sisal grass under the flowers. All the paper edges are inked with Walnut Stain, and the papers are sewed together on a sewing machine.

I have cut out the “gratulerer” text from Maja papers. The die is from Papirdesign, and means congratulation.

This tag was also published in the magazine Ett Trykk in the August issue.

I hope you are having a lovely Autumn. Maybe you find some time crafting?!

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja blog!

With love
