Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Ska vi ta en Fika? collection I chose a photo I’ve taken during an event at the castle of l’Islette (Loire Valley, France).

The Stag Man by Pascale B.

I stamped randomly with a black ink before priming the background with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and clear crackle paste.

When the paste was dried, I splattered some white gesso and different metallic paints. Next, I replaced the stencil and I added some waxes on top of the crackle paste.

I die cut some leaves and a doily. I painted the vines with different acrylic paints and the summer leaves with waxes.

I painted a few flowers with metallic paints as well as the doily in violet. I colored also some Art Stones with a black ink.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments.

To finish the layout I added some glitters.

Hi everyone! I am back with a purple card today, with a few papers from the lovely Fika collection.

The main image is coloured with Distress Ink, re-inkers. I have stamped the image from Stempelglede on The Langton watercolour paper.

I have tried to use the same colours as the papers when I was colouring the vintage garden stamp.

The text says “You are special” and is also from Stempelglede. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. And I have put some sisal grass behind them. The shape of the card is made with a die from Go Kreate.

I have added different layers onto the card.

I really hope you are having a lovely weekend! I am soon of on my Summer holiday, which this year will be Spain. By the way, this card was published in the Norwegian Magazine Ett Trykk.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog today!

With love,

Hello everyone,

Kavitha here today to share my new layout. This time i  made a dark/moody yet girly layout using gorgeous Fika collection,i just love the purple tones of this collection.

I have used three papers from the collection, one dark, one medium and one light to balance the colors, and used some fussy cut flowers from one of the papers.

To create the background i mixed gel medium, purple metallic paint & glitter and applied it through stencils.I have used lots of chipobard pieces and paper layers to construct my design.

All the chipboard pieces are colored with metallic paint and then heat embossed using lindy’s embossing powders.I even colored some flowers to match the color palette as i dint have any in my stash

As finishing touch i added some copper micro beads and sprinkled some glitter.

Maja papers used: Fika : Hemgjord , Blommor pa bordet , Cheesecake BS

Hi everyone! I amback with a green card for today. And I have used some papers from this stunning collection!!

The sweet image from Magnolia and the Country Girl is coloured in the same colours as the papers. I have used Distress Ink for my colouring.

The flowers are made with Magnolia dies and Foamiran from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have used Fika papers for the tassels aswell. And you can see that I have sewed around the edges of the paper.

Some banners on the top, between the butterflies. The text is from Stempelglede. And this card has been published in the April issue of Ett Trykk.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog for inspiration!

Hello and welcome, dear friends! I hope this lovely Tuesday finds you well. I’m back today with a new card, which twice in the same week, (kind of a record for me lately), and I couldn’t be happier to be here with you.

For Today’s card I’m creating with another one of my favorite Maja Design collections, Ska vi ta en Fika. If you love purples as much as I do, this collection is a must-have for your craft room.

Welcome to my happy place! Is there anything more magical than a secluded garden overflowing with lovely blooms? There is much joy to be found here involving all of the senses. Imagine being surrounded by the sweet fragrance of roses, or the delicate texture of a petal on your fingertips. For this reason there is much effort in the handcrafted flowers for this card, as I truly want to bring this garden to life.

Below you’ll find some close ups of the handmade roses.

The sentiment stamp speaks to my heart, for gardens truly are a place of miracles.

A tiny key to the gates can be found in the corner of the card, as this garden is open to all who care to share in this space.

A natural twine bow adorns the bottom of the card.

Below is a peek at the interior of the card.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Magnolia Rose Leaf die, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals dies, Flower Shaping Tools, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Gesso, Twine, Sentiment Stamp, Script Stamp, Grunge Stamp, Archival Ink in Timber Brown, Sewing Machine, Thread.

It’s been such an honor to have you visit today! I hope you’ve enjoyed spending some quiet moments in my little garden. If you like these papers or any of the others you see here on the blog, you can bring them home with you by clicking on the  STORE FINDER tab, and the magic of the internet will do the rest of the work. I wish you a day filled with all things good and wonderful, and of course, crafty adventures!

Hugs,
