 Welcome Maja friends!

Have you seen the latest Maja Design collection by name ‘Traditional Christmas’ ?!

Great classical christmas colours, green and red, plaid, dotted … which gave me the idea to create a cheerful canvas as a kitchen picture.

We love baking cookies with the kids in the run-up to christmas.

It always takes a little longer and the kitchen is unrecognizable afterwards, but it’s always a lot of fun.

I used the paper sheets ‘Beautiful decorated’; ‘Peace and Joy’ and some papers

from the 6 x 6 suitable collection.

Beautifully decorated                   Peace and joy

Tips

the apron is simply indispensable when baking, so that the little ones don’t forget, I have designed a simple model

the paper sheet ‘Family gathering’ was perfect for this idea, with two ribbons

and a few punched out motifs you can create them very quickly and easily

+

some close up’s

the flour just sticks everywhere 😉

a flower cluster made with pointsettia cutting dies

Wish you a merry and relaxed christmas especially in these difficult times.

Make the best of it!

Many thanks!

Kerstin

Goodmorning amazing Maja Design Fans,

I am so happy that you find the time to visit our blog today, here in The Netherlands they just decided to have a hard lockdown due covid-19, I personally think that it’s way to late but who am I right? Luckily in my line of work {optician} we can still be open and help the people who need to see but for my husband it’s a whole other story but he can still go to work but we don’t know for how long. Well enough of the covid-19…..today I’d like to show you another layout that I made with two gorgeous collections “Celebration”& “Nyhavn”

This was a fun and easy page to make also because I don’t have many pictures with snow in it….only when Kevin was a cute little boy. For the bottom part of my layout I used the Nyhavn sheet called sitting at the dock which is one of my all time favorites and for the upper part I used the ephemera sheet of Celebration. At that first sheet I used a awesome winter background stamp by studio light with some stazon jet black ink I stamped randomly, then for the upper part I used a stencil by the dusty attic of stars.

The frame around the picture is also by the dusty attic as is the word childhood. With this layout I will be entering two challenges one is a moodboard of winter and the other one is of childhood & to add some gold. The leaves you see on my layout are dies by cheery lynn designs which I cut out from the Maja Designs monochromes and then treated with lindy’s stamp gang sprays.

I added different golden elements on my layout as glitter glass, gold sprays & finnabair wax on the art pebbles as the finishing touch I added some true snow by arleene’s and some butterflies of the coffee in the arbour collection. I also added some flatbackpearls on the frame.

Maja Design papers used: Celebration Ephemera bs, Nyhavn sitting at the dock bs, Mono White Sand bs of the sofiero & Coffee in the Arbour butterflies are free.

Thank you so much for being here with us today I hope you like my work… and we would love it if you share your work with us at the Maja Design Facebookpage …..stay safe & healthy…… Love

Goodmorning lovely Maja Design Fans,

Today I would like to share another layout with you all, but first I want to tell you that if you head on over to my blog you could win one off three collections by Maja Design visit here ==> Amy´s Pretty Papers <== now to my layout! For this one I used my new favorite collection “Miles Apart” I just can’t believe how pretty this collection is can you? I totally went crazy on the fussy cutting part. For this layout I wanted to create a romantic scenery with lace and lots of layers I was totally inspired by the Dusty Attic moodboard of November while creating this layout. The picture is truly my most adorable {and favorite} picture I have of my handsome boy & little princess.

First I cut out the middel part of the thinking of you sheet, 2 centimeters to be exact around the edges. Then I distressed both pieces as much as I could with a tool then with my fingers to make the papers kind of curly at some places. Then I moved my chipboard pieces around and around {I think that took me two whole hours “Oh Boy”} until I liked where I put them.

Then I took the chipboard away after taking a picture first…then you see I added lace in the upper left corner and in the lower right corner and that’s how the papers stay on it’s place {didn’t use any glue here} after that I used some stamps, a stencil, modeling crackle paste & and a bunch of Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays on the background sheet.

I also used the stencil with some of that same paste to alter the frame around the picture {I had never done that before} but it turned out great at least that’s what I think 😉 hehe Then I treated the rest of the chipboards with white embossing powder by Lindy’s Stamp Gang and later I added some waxes by Finnabair on them too…to finish of my layout I added some prills & sequins and of course some gorgeous butterflies <3

Maja Design papers used: Close at Heart, Thinking of You, Thinking of you-bs, A Few Words-bs and Ephemera, Coffee in the Arbour papers used: Butterflies are free

Thank you so much for being here with us today I hope you like my work… please don’t forget to visit my blog for winning some Maja Design papers for yourself to create with!!…..stay safe…… Love

Welcome creative friends!

Have you yet seen our latest amazing paper collection ‘ Miles Apart’ ??

If not – check them out! You’ll love them!

Delightful colours and inspiring motifs, I was immediately in love with the motives.

I think it’s a beautiful mixture of soft colors that are also suitable as background for masculine layouts maybe in grundge style.

I have decided for a 12 x12 layout in vintage style suitable to the grey month November but also to this difficult times for all of us.

Goodmorning lovely Maja Design fans,

I sure hope everything goes well with you all, Aren’t you loving the “Miles Apart” collection as much as I do? It’s so shabby chic right up my ally. I have been fussy cutting my brains out lol. For this layout I used another precious picture of Abbey I just can’t stop creating with pictures of her. This was a really easy and quick layout to make because I already did the fussy cutting part during my series I watch on tv. I wanted the picture to stand out in this layout that’s why I kept it clean…..

It was really fun to create this layout, I took half a sheet of the little things and placed a part of distance bsand placed it behind the first one to later on put it on the keeping busy sheet after I distressed it like a mad woman lol….those buttons you see on my layout are actually chipboard pieces that I altered is Maja Design paper.

On the background of my layout I added a stencil with golden crackle paste but before that I first stamped on it with Gabi’s stoic stamp by 49 and Market. After that I sprayed some of my favorite Lindy’s spray to soften up my layout. To make the phrases on my layout stand out a little more I used the black ones by The Dusty Attic and the phrase “The Ultimate Photo” I painted black.

After that I added some flowers by 49 and Market, wishing bubbles and some metal pieces with words on it to finish of my layout….and I stopped but it was hard because I wanted to add more lol.

Maja Design papers used: The little things, Keeping busy, Keeping busy-bs and Distance-bs

Thank you so much for being here with us today I hope I have inspired you to take out your Maja Design papers and create with them…..stay safe…… Love
