Goodmorning Lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn again to post something that I made with the gorgeous Maja Design papers. For this layout I used three collections named ‘Nyhavn’, ‘Little street Cafe’ & the stunning new ‘Miles Apart’….jet again I used a precious picture of mine of both our children {so much love I see when looking at it} that’s why I named this layout Love Always….This was one of the first picture I took while Abbey had her eyes open so widely and looked straight into my camera…that I was so happy that I took it. Now Kevin likes to let me take pictures again yeah. I had so much fun creating this layout although yellow is not my favorite color to scrap I think it turned out pretty nice ūüėČ

First I used a Martha Steward punch to cut the upper part of my layout, I cut that out of the ‘Sitting at the dock’ & ‘Stay Creative’ sheets then I placed that on feeling good sheet. Then I added some twine and placed a circle on the middle of my layout. Later on I added a Dusty Attic stencil and some Lindy’s sprays on my work.¬† I was inspired by last months mood board at the Facebook site from Dusty Attic. Lets have a closer look:

All the chipboards I used are by Dusty Attic I treated them with white gesso and some of the I embossed like most of the words, the others I gessod and ruste pasted them I was planning on using my wonderful dusty attic paint but it was all dried out sadly enough. So I treated it with waxes and spray.

And then comes the fun part adding my flowers that I selected for this layout they are all by 49 and Market. For the finishing touch I added some metal embellishments and some dress my craft sequins which I totally adore….and I added some white gesso on my flowers to make them a softer tone.

Maja Design papers used: Nyhavn РSitting at the dock, Little street Cafe РFeeling good and the greens from Miles Apart РStay Creative & Be Safe.

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the¬† Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Love

Goodmorning lovely Maja Design fans,

Today i’d like to share another layout with you all and again I used two pictures, one of my darling husband when he was just a little boy back in 1972 and one of our daughter in 2020. They both had the same cookie jar between there legs isn’t that cute I just so adore both pictures that I had to use them on a layout.

As I told you in one of my previous posts I like to use the opposite parts of my chipboards as I also did here next to my husbands picture you see the big part and then the barbwire that came out of that part. I used some ruste paste on my chipboard and later on some opal magic wax {Blue Velvet} it gives it a nice purple/blueish color just like my flowers.

On the background I added a Dusty Attic stencil and some spray by Lindy’s {Sidewalk Chalk} my favorite spray. On the background of my white circle paper I added a text stamp and I used a flair in my flower cluster which I totally love to use on my layouts. I also gessod the word “captured”and the stamped on it with the same text stamp. For the finishing touch I added some purple wishing bubbles {oh my aren’t they the cutest}

Maja Design papers used: Nyhavn – Sitting at the dock & Celebration – Ephemera

I hope I have inspired you with this layout to create something beautiful and please do share your work with us on our Facebook site we always love to see your work. Have a blessed Tuesday and see you soon….

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

So nice of you to visit the Maja Design blog today, it’s been a long time since I last created something about three months I think. Not that I didn’t want to but my little family was struggeling with some issues and now we are all on the mend again with me having more time to get creative yeahh…. For today I would like to show you a layout that has been on my desk for that last three months {in pieces tho…}. I used two of my favorite collections Nyhavn & Denim and Friends.

On this layout I used some pretty lace from Tresors de Luxe, I also added a stencil with some paste and ink with a script stamp by our very own Pascale. The picture I got from pinterest. My uncle from Florida brought me some pearl bling when he visited last May that I used one this layout aswell.

I got myself a new phone and I am still figuring out how I can make my pictures look like the actual colors as my layouts are. So some of the close ups look a bit yellow sorry for that.

Maja Design papers used: Denim & Friends: Fashion & Sunbleached, Nyhavn: a dockside in bloom.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I have inspired you to go and create something beautiful with your Maja papers. Have a wonderful & sunny day!

Love xoxo

Goodmorning & happy Friday Maja Fans,

For today I have another layout to share and this time it’s a mixed media layout using a bunch of mixed media techniques. When I was ready with my layout a little disaster happened half a bottle of Lindy’s Stamp Gang’s blazing black spray’s fell all over the lower left corner of my layout. Oeh la la that never happened to me before but “hey” that happens when you do not close the cap of the bottle after using it. Luckily I could fix it only not really like I intended to be….but I am very happy with the result.

I really love all the darker & white/grey papers Maja Design offers but I wish they had more because sometimes I really love to make something outside my comfort zone like this layout is. For this layout I used four collections Nyhavn, Crea Diem, Sommatider and Vintage Spring Basics.¬†This time I choose two other colors to compliment my work teal and yellow. The butterflies are stamped on the white Sitting at the dock sheet from the Nyhavn collection. Then I painted them with “Azure Sea Asters” starburst spray’s from Lindy’s Stamp Gang en then I cut them out.

The flowers are by Prima Marketing and 49 and Market. For the first time¬†in a long while¬†I haven’t used any chipboard on my work¬†wow I just saw that now lol…..I also added two flairs from “Cuts2luv and a metal plate with the word paradise on it. I am a real sucker for the beach so as you can imagine this looks like paradise to me since I moved more then an hour from the nearest beach I sometimes dream I am there “My Paradise”!

On the background of my layout I used a different mixed media technique then I normally do. I took a piece of plastic packaging and sprayed on top of that plastic and then placed it on my paper sheet then you get kind of a messy watercoloring spots on your work. I did that with the teal color but also with a yellow/gold spray. Then I stamped on top of that with different stamp sets by 49 and Market. Then I matted my picture and cut out six different sizes of squares in three pairs of two of the same papers….Kann Dig Sjalv {Crea Diem}, 1st of March {Vintage Spring Basics} and Baslakan {Sommatider}!

Hi dear Maja fans! Hope you are fine! Here comes my latest card which I finished yesterday. I wanted to make a pink and yellow card, so I found the perfect pattern papers in the Nyhavn Collection:

Nyhavn-P

I have used a new image from Magnolia, and coloured her in matching colour as the papers. I use Distress Ink for my colouring.

The flowers are from Kort& Godt and WOC. To tone them down and to give them that shabby look, I painted over them with White Gesso. Under the flowers I have put some Sissal grass.

I have used drops of Liquid pearls in her hair. Behind the image I have put some cheese cloth and a doily.

You might have a better view of how the paper is built up under.

Here are the three pattern papers I have used:

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!
