Album 1

Hello Maja Design friends! It’s Cathy here on the blog today. It’s been a while since I’ve created a mini album and I thought that now is the perfect time to do so. They do take me a while to create …but in the end the wait is worth it! I have some close friends at work who have new baby girls (who will receive this I’m not sure) so this has given me some inspiration and motivation to create an album. For this mini album I have used papers from the Vintage Baby Collection. I have also followed a tutorial to create this album. It’s a pocket page style album. It’s part of a tutorial series by My Sisters Scrapper which can be found here.

album 2

For the front of my album, I die cut this image from It’s a Girl and used a Sizzix antique frame die to showcase it. I used some Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima blooms as well.

album3

Throughout the album I used all of the ‘girl’ papers, ephemera cards and die cut sheets. I wanted to allow for journaling and personalisation in this album, and the journal cards make that possible.

album 3a

I also used several baby themed die cuts. The onesie section folds out and offers room for photos and also for journaling. I also used stamps to add opportunities for journaling and also to add the dates for special photos and occassions.
album 7a
This style of album had lots of interaction! I also created an envelope using my WR Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board and a sheet from the 6×6 paper pad. Inside I added a little booklet for more photos and journaling.
album 10

This is one of the back page. I used a journalling card and folded in half to create a little book. To create the closure, I stamped onto a leftover piece of patterned paper and adhered it with some foam tape.

I have created a video walkthrough of this album where I show all of the elements of this album.

Hello crafty friends,

well, I am going to travel a lot this summer, so I decided to create something a kind of a travel book that I can take with me to put in some photos , to make the notes and save some memorablia files too. So that is why I created with mini album

NyhavnMiniAlbum_MainActually, I tried to fill it more with the papers than with the embellishments. I used Nyhavn collection -so perfect for your travelling notes.

NyhavnMiniAlbum_1I added only chipboard pieces and played a lot with my papers.

img_0156I made some envelopes and folds  – to keep some tickets or useful information files.

img_0160Also I filled it with vellum pockets and strings.

I suggest you to take the ride and enjoy the video clip I made, so that you’ve got a chance to look it through properly.

Hope you have liked it, now it’s your turn to create a travel book for yourself, isn’t it.

Products used:

Hello there Maja Design fans! I’m in today to share a baby girl’s first year album I made for my little girl who is arriving in September, using the beautiful new Vintage Baby collection.

Here is the album cover:

And some of the details:

I made an accordion fold for the inside pages, with one side using lots of die cuts from the papers and the other with ample space for photos and journaling. The idea is to keep the whole album as simple as possible so that I have plenty of space for her photos and recording of her milestones.

And here’s the video tutorial:

And that’s all I have for today. Thank you for dropping by!

Maja Design papers used:

Vintage Baby: 6×6 paper pad, Expecting Baby, Cherish, Precious, Bundle of Joy, Die Cuts, Ephemera Cards, Journaling cards Pink

Other supplies: Mediums (13@rts, Shimmerz, Lindy’s Stamp Gang), chipboards (Blue Fern Studios), flowers (Prima Marketing Inc)

Hello crafters. Today I have one more album to share with you. It seems that I dig in album making, huge, multilayered, with many extra secret pages and pockets, anyway I enjoy creating them, so I guess that I will be busy all summer long with preserving the memories in the albums.

VintageBabyGirl_sneak So I would suggest you to take a cup of coffe or tea and enjoy watching it. If you like you can skip all the photos, and jump in to video clip ( later in this post), but this brand new collection – Baby Vintage deserves to be stared on, as the everything in it is perfect. The texture of the papers, the images , the vintage patterns, so it is always difficult for me to say what collection I love most of all. This time is not an exception, but I do like it most of all

VintageBabyGirl_Elenaolinevich1(1)This time I started working with the papers for the girl. Yes, I do like the pink also.

img_9643The collection has several cards for journalling and also fussy cutting.

VintageBabyGirl_Elenaolinevich2(1)I made several extra pages inside as I wanted to showcase the papers – the backside too, they are too beautiful.

and these floral patterns are so pretty, I even have managed to find the almost similar fabric to make them a match.
