Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

The day after tomorrow in Poland we celebrate Father’s Day – and for that occasion I have made some masculine cards ๐Ÿ™‚ Even though I’m the only woman in my house, I still find masculine cards a bit difficult, it always takes me more time to make one than with romantic flowery cards ๐Ÿ˜‰ But with fantastic Vintage Romance images of handsome dudes the task is much easier ๐Ÿ˜‰

I decided to use up some leftovers of the Home for the Holidays collection and made these two cards:

mdmen

The first card is more universal, as the stamped sentiment says “Best wishes” – and so it could be presented on Father’s Day too ๐Ÿ˜‰

I layered two papers in the background and matted the central image with a die-cut gear border and hand-cut tags:

mdmen2

Then I added a metal charm, some vintage brads and acrylic gems to give the card more character and colour ๐Ÿ™‚

mdmen3

The other card is aa birthday card and a vintage car image as the central piece.

mdmen4

Then I literally used up the smallest bits and scraps by punching squares and making a patchwork background ๐Ÿ™‚

mdmen6

I also added some chipboard gears and a metal charm on a piece of plaid ribbon:

How do you like them? ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Joy!Crafts; stamps: Lemonade; chipboard: Wycinanka; ribbon, brads: Rayher; acrylic gems: ScrapBerry’s; charms, string: my stash.

See you later!

Hello dear friends! Evgenia Petzer with you today and I wanted to show you the envelope that I made for a masculine type of present. You can always put there either the gift card or some money.

when it comes to the decoration of the masculine works, I always look for the chipboard, some meat embellishments, die cuts using either kraft or black yardstick. I love to add some black splashes to the cards.

Again, Nyhavn personally for me is a collection with a masculine touch, what do you associate it with?

Have a lovely weekend,

Welcome, dear Maja Design fans, to our blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you celebrate Boy’s Day in your countries? In Poland this holiday is relatively “young”, but it’s already become quite popular among youngsters, and especially schoolboys eagerly await it ๐Ÿ˜‰ Being constantly reminded of the day, which comes on September 30th, by my own young men ๐Ÿ˜‰ I decided to make some masculine cards for today’s post.

For the cards I returned to one of my favourite collections, Vintage Romance, which contains the most gorgeous masculine images ๐Ÿ™‚ And they are so easy to cut out and arrange:

mdmasc1

I used a small image of a gentleman and a blue card and mounted them upon a vintage ad that I made to look like a post stamp. I completed the desing with a metal charm:

For the first card I used some elements I die-cut from metallic gold cardstock – they look like sheets of metal and really add a masculine touch and make a great background for cut out images:

I think metal embellishments can really make a project look masculine. Therefore for my second card I used metal gears and attached them to the card with nail-like brads:

I also added some stamping here and there:

I cut a tag shape from one of the papers to add various patterns as bacgkrounds for the images:

Supplies:

Other:

Stamps: the ScrapBerry’s, scrap.com.pl; dies: Joy Crafts, Rosy Owl; brads: Rayher; metal charms: RetroKraftShop

I must admit masculine cards are always difficult for me, but with Vintage Romance the task was nice and pleasant ๐Ÿ™‚ And what’s your favourite Maja collection for masculine projects?
