Hi there! Not a Christmas project from me today, hope it is ok?! I just wanted to show you the tool drawer I made for a Father’s Day card. I have used the Denim & Friends collection. Here you find papers for every masculine project.

The dies are from Magnolia. As for the image. I have used Distress Ink for my colouring.

To make this I have folded a box, where the sides measures 4×8 cm and 8×8 cm.

The metal frame is from Wild Orchid Crafts and I have painted here and there with White Gesso.

I am trying to find the time to make some Christmas cards aswell, but this weekend I have been baking Christmas cookies. Maybe I will find some time this evening.

This project was also published in the magazine Ett Trykk. Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!

With love,

Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Father’s Day has been celebrated in various parts of the world, and in Poland it comes on June 23rd. Therefore for my today’s post I created two cards for the occasion. These are really super quick and easy to make even for beginners 🙂

I don’t mind at all using flowers in masculine projects, but this time I decided not to include a single one. I based both on the Denim & Friends collection.

For the first card you don’t even need any die-cutting machine, I cut all the paper elements by hand.

I layered papers, added some tags and a strip of paper across the card and placed a cut-out image on top. I decorated the card with metal embellishments, studs and a chipboard sentiment, but you could easily replace those with paper elements and handwriting.

If you have a die-cutting machine, the second card would be a piece of cake to make too 🙂

I layered selected papers in the background and mounted a cut-out image, then added some die-cut stars and a trophy to match the stamped sentiment which says: “Dad, you’re the best”. I finished the card off with drops of liquid pearls and glitter. After all, men love to shine 🙂

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Desig, Crea-Lies; stamp: Lemonade; metal elements: ScrapHobby; string, ribbon: my stash.

Thank you for visiting today and see you soon!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

The day after tomorrow in Poland we celebrate Father’s Day – and for that occasion I have made some masculine cards 🙂 Even though I’m the only woman in my house, I still find masculine cards a bit difficult, it always takes me more time to make one than with romantic flowery cards 😉 But with fantastic Vintage Romance images of handsome dudes the task is much easier 😉

I decided to use up some leftovers of the Home for the Holidays collection and made these two cards:

The first card is more universal, as the stamped sentiment says “Best wishes” – and so it could be presented on Father’s Day too 😉

I layered two papers in the background and matted the central image with a die-cut gear border and hand-cut tags:

Then I added a metal charm, some vintage brads and acrylic gems to give the card more character and colour 🙂

The other card is aa birthday card and a vintage car image as the central piece.

Then I literally used up the smallest bits and scraps by punching squares and making a patchwork background 🙂

I also added some chipboard gears and a metal charm on a piece of plaid ribbon:

How do you like them? 🙂

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Joy!Crafts; stamps: Lemonade; chipboard: Wycinanka; ribbon, brads: Rayher; acrylic gems: ScrapBerry’s; charms, string: my stash.

See you later!
