Hello! I wish everyone a warm welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here on this beautiful Tuesday. Today’s card is inspired by my sweet mom’s favorite hymn, ‘In the Garden’. When I imagine her in heaven I always see her surrounded by beautiful flowers, and Maja Design’s Enjoying the Outdoors paper collection brought the garden in my mind’s eye to life.
Several design papers are layered, distressed, and stitched to form a base for the card. A center circle is cut to reveal this peaceful garden retreat.
The photos above and below give you a peek at the layering. The floral bouquet on the right is fussy cut from the paper collection.
The flowers are handmade from the design paper. There is a tutorial for the roses on the sidebar of my blog. The leaves are die cut with a Magnolia Rose Leaf die.
The edges of the card are randomly splattered with Mr. Huey’s color mist. The addition of a few green berries and a twine bow are the finishing touches.
Thank you for visiting us at the Maja Design Blog! Don’t forget to check out the April Mood Board while you’re here. You still have plenty of time to enter your own lovely creation. May your day be filled with happy moments and crafty inspiration!
Hugs,
