Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

I’m sure you’ve already seen the latest release by Maja Design – two gorgeous collections, Autumn Poem and Christmas Wonderland 🙂 I’m so happy to have them both arrive safely and I can tell you: they are even more gorgeous in real life! 😀 And I cut them both the same day they came! So without further ado let me share a wedding card I made using the colourful, romantic and warm Autumn Poem collection:

I really love the soft colours and subtle patterns of this colelction! I chose three papers for the background, distressed the edges and layered them. But to include even more patterns, I hand-cut mini tags and included them in the flower cluster:

The flower cluster is built around a beautiful flourish chipboard frame with gold wedding rings inside. The flowers repeat the colour palette of the papers. I completed the cluster with delicate lace, shiffon ribbon and glitter sequins:

The card is quite dimensional, so it requires a box:

Here’s the list of what I used to make the card:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Miszmasz Papierowy; die: CreaLies; lace, ribbon, sequins, rings: my stash.

Thank you for visiting here today, and see you soon!

Tropical Wedding Card

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

The summer this year spoils us – sometimes too much, really! – with hot weather. And it is also traditionally the most busy time of the year when weddings are concerned. And when you combine “hot summer” and “wedding” you can only get a tropical wedding card 😀

In Poland, when we describe a couple who is very much in love, we use a saying that can be translated as “inseparable parrots”. So it was a perfect motive for me to put on a wedding card! I cut out two birds from the “Major Mitchell” sheet and arranged a love scene, adding some more cut outs, a filigree chipboard heart and some dimensional flowers. To make the flower cluster look fuller, I stamped some leaves in the background paper to match the printed ones. I also stamped the sentiment “Forever” directly onto the paper. I finished the card with some vintage ribbon, string and acrylic gems.

The card is nicely dimensional too, due to mounting particular layers on foam dots of various heights.

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps, chipboard: Agateria; flowers, ribbon: Wild Orchid Crafts; acrylic gems, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank yopu for visiting and see you later!
