Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea visiting with you today…bringing up a delightful summer card featuring Maja Design’s Vintage Summer Basics collection. I have to say that I will be very sad when summer passes…it is my favorite time of year to be outside, walk among the flowers my husband and I planted in the spring and just generally not be cold! We planted some Maiden grass in our back yard and about this time of year it gets the most spectacular plumes on it. The bad side of that means that when I see them, summer is coming to an end. And then school starts. Ahh, let’s not get ourselves depressed here! Let’s cheer up with a celebration card: AugustDivaDareMThe edges are distressed and inked, the center panel is sewed and the floral cluster consists of a paper flower, fabric leaves, wooden feathers, ceramic stamens and some distressed gauze. Quite a lot of textiles in one little arrangement! I also added some sequins in the mix for a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for tuning in with me today…enjoy your day…and the rest of the summer, you Northern Hemisphere peeps! Andrea-sign

Hello Maja friends! We are well in the midst of summer here in the United States…my flower gardens are in full bloom, heavy with beautiful, full flowers that delight my eyes. Besides Spring, this is my most favorite time of year. Not only do I love the blooms in my yard, but I also love incorporating them into my cards. Here’s a card I made using the new Coffee in the Arbour collection: July2014DDMIn addition to these gorgeous papers, I used liquid pearls, antique lace, daisy chain lace, a doily, lots of paper distressing, a little sewing machine and hand stitching action and I colored in the Verve stamps with Copic markers. This card is indicative of what I do when I see my beloved flowers…Smile.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting! Andrea-sign

Morning Maja friends! I’m so happy to say that I’ve recently received some happy mail in the form of ‘Coffee in the Arbour’! Delicate, dainty and ultra-feminine papers…I am in love! I had some sweet little daisy stickers hanging around my craft room (actually I had to dig them out) that went so well with the ‘White Daisies’ paper, so I married them to make this: EarthFlowersMI completed this card with some Buttercup liquid pearls, a Fleur De Lis Rectangle Nestability, a Deco Fan border punch and a paper distresser. I also pulled out some ‘Life in the Country’ paper to make this one: CongratsMWonderfully shabby and antique looking, I framed the medallion with a stained doily and some glitter. I added some Zva Creative pearl flourishes and a crinkled seam binding bow. For this next card, I upped the classy factor: MyGraceMLove me some Vintage Summer Basics! Framed with a Detailed Scallop Frame from Spellbinders, I added some Zva Creative pearl lines and Raspberry Liquid Pearls. All stamps used on these cards are courtesy of Verve.

Thanks for checking in…hope you like what you see! Andrea-sign

Happy Thursday Maja friends! Here in the United States we’re gearing up for our country’s birthday, July 4th. Another reason for the Ewen family to celebrate is the birthday of our patriarch, affectionately known as ‘Cheesie’ (as in Big Cheese), my husband, Guy. His mom told him when he was younger that the fireworks that accompany every July 4th celebration were just for him. Though he’s old enough to realize that is no longer the case, we still have quite a celebration for him, including a big barbecue, a huge ice cream cake, and yes, lots of fireworks. Tomorrow’s festivities will also include this card here: July4thM July4thcuThis card features the Life by the Sea collection. I added some die cut stars, wooden stars, sequin stars and some rustic twine. All of the edges are distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink and also roughed up a bit with a paper distresser. The stamp is courtesy of Verve’s American Hero set.

To my American friends…Happy 4th of July! To all my other friends…Happy 4th of July! 🙂 Have a great day and thanks for sharing a part of it with me! Andrea-sign

Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea here with you today, bringing you a light, fluffy, feminine card to start off your Thursday…BeBlessedM

This card features the Vintage Spring Basics collection and is adorned with Zva Creative crystals, daisy chain lace, pearls and a sweet sentiment stamp from Verve. The design is modeled loosely on this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.

Hopefully I’ll be back next time with a Coffee in the Arbour inspired project.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative day! Andrea-sign
