Hello Maja friends! It’s Andrea coming to you one last time to bring you some delightful Maja Design goodness! This will be my last post as a design team member…I look back at my time here very fondly…Marie is wonderfully creative and generous, Jenny is super supportive and always helpful and the rest of the team, well, they’re just fabulous and wonderfully talented! I figured that my last post would be a collection of my very favorite Maja Design cards, so here we go: Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments over the past two years! Hope I’ve inspired you to go out there and create!
Greetings Maja friends! Andrea here with you today to show you how you can make some beautiful coordinating paper flowers to go with all of your Maja papers! I pulled out some “A Gift For You” designs and cut out some different sized die cuts of a Posy die to come up with this: I simply cut out 2 of each size, curled up the edges with my fingers and staggered each design as I glued them together. I also added Platinum Stickle accents to all the tips of the petals. I did add a pink pearl center to draw the eye. I mounted them atop a grapevine die from Heartfelt Creations. The sentiment is courtesy of Verve stamps and as a last minute decision, I added the Shimmer sequins. Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
Morning Maja lovelies! I’ve been thoroughly enjoying playing with my new Maja holiday papers, though lately I’ve been on a monochromatic kick…and it turns out the Maja papers are the perfect medium for that! My first card is very neutral with black accents to catch the eye: I started off with the papers named ‘my dear friend’, front and back. I am in love with those sweet little angels! I added a sentiment from Verve and a cross stamp and die cut, also from Verve. Next up, a little more traditional colors: For this card, I pulled out some ‘given from the heart’ papers. I roughed up the edges, added a twine/gingham bow and a sweet little velvet jingle bell. I put a bit of gauze behind the image for a little more shabbiness. The image and stamp are courtesy of Verve and I also highlighted the image panel with some black liquid pearls.
Morning Maja friends! Andrea here with you today bringing some Christmas goodness in the form of ‘A Gift For You’ papers…the latest release from Maja Designs. I had some beautiful crochet lace and gingham ribbon that I thought would look lovely intertwined with each other…so here’s the result of my inspiration: I used images from the ‘from Santa with love’ papers and roughed up the edges. The silver holly leaves are from a Christmas ornament that I broke down into its many pieces. Each year after Christmas, I scour the stores for clearance ornaments, usually the ones with lots of details, and use them for parts. It’s a great way to find little chochkies to add to your cards. To the gingham bow, I added a double twine bow and some velvet jingle bells. The edges are a cut up frame from Spellbinders Detailed Scallops set. The original dies did not fit around my card, so I cut out two smaller designs and adjusted them up to fit around the edges. (The back of the card is not so pretty…). Finally, I added some Zva Creative pearls. There is no stamping and the only sentiment is the one on the bottom which is the bottom strip to ‘given from the heart’ papers.
Morning Maja friends! It’s Andrea here with you today starting off with some big flowers, big bows and lots of Maja paper goodness! Here’s a card I made using the Walking in the Forest collection: Accessories on this little beauty consist of Verve stamps, a silk bow, twine, crystal stamens, Dark Chocolate liquid pearls, vintage alace, and lots of distressing. I also inked up some gauze and placed it behind the big bow. I was toying with making a Christmas card, but I think I’m going to wait a bit and enjoy this beautiful Autumn weather! Have a great day and thanks for spending part of it with me!
