Morning Maja friends! It’s Andrea here with you today posting some cards that I made with some gorgeous Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Summer Basics collections:

CSC155aI love to use lots of scraps, layers and embellishments. The nice thing about the Shabby Chic/Vintage look is that there are really no rules…you can cut paper crooked, rip it accidentally on purpose and mix all sorts of colors together…and for the most part it LOOKS like it’s all on purpose!AugustDivaDare2013MajaClean VCCC082513blankVintage-Summer-Basics-P1Vintage-Springr-Basics-P

Thanks so much for spending part of your day with me!Andrea-sign

Morning Maja friends! I have to tell you that I thank my lucky stars on a regular basis for being a part of this wonderful design team. I absolutely love Maja’s papers…the girls on the team are super sweet and supportive and Jenny…our DT coordinator and Marie..the owner are wonderfully encouraging and generous. I made these two cards with my Maja experience in mind:YouandMeMajaCleanThe above card is made with lots of scraps…I used the Walking in the Forest collection, roughed up the edges and stitched the pieces to the card base. The sentiment is from Verve’s Making a Statement set and I’ve also included some old lace, buttons and a twine adorned flower accent.YouInspireMeMajaCleanI had just purchased some of those gorgeous purple hydrangeas and knew that I must break out my beloved Ska vi ta en fika collection of papers…along with stick pins, Zva Creative pearl flourishes, twine and laces, respectively. I keep all of my Maja Design collections together…as I cut into each one, I save every little bit of scrap and keep all the pieces in a large ziplock bag. That way, I can add all kinds of small bits to my cards for a new design every time.

Here is another card that I made over the past two weeks with Maja’s Crea Diem collection:

Happy Thursday Maja friends! Not only is it Thursday, but it’s August 1st already! I’m afraid to ask where July went when I know that this month is going to fly by, too! I have a special treat for you today… some projects made with beautifully vintage Maja Design papers.ImYoursMajacleanMy creative process usually consists of making a background first, then adding lots of ‘stuff’ and lastly including the sentiment. When I looked at my card today, just before the  sentiment part, I thought of my wonderful husband and how…understandingsupportiveencouraging, uh, more like tolerant he is of this hobby of mine.  I’m just kidding…he is all of those things. So in honor of him leaving me alone while I craft, (hehe) I decided to use this sentiment on my card. I do just love him to bits! 🙂 It’s still a bit girly for his liking…but it suits mine just fine! This card was made using the lovely Sofiero collection…

Here are a few other cards I made this week using the Sofiero and Vintage Spring Basics collections:

Morning Maja friends! I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all been treated to some glorious Sofiero inspiration lately…the projects that I’ve seen here on the blog and out in ‘inner’ space have been beyond inspirational! I’m going to try to keep the party going with my own take on the Sofiero Limited Edition papers…first though, I have to say that I had the hardest time cutting into my first piece…Oooh, do you know the feeling of cutting into something you absolutely love and knowing that when it’s gone there’s no more? I conferred with Ivana and she felt the same way! However, I did ‘bite the bullet’ and cut into them. This is what I have to show for it:

JulydivaDareMCleanAlong with some authentic vintage lace, crinkled, aged seam binding and some chipboard accents, this card uses Princess Margareta’s Garden paper. I roughed up the edges and added a bit of aging with some Antique Linen Distress ink. There’s some coarse glitter spinkled on the scalloped oval and the heart was actually a chipboard flower that I cut in thirds and a heart design was left.

Here’s a few other projects using the Sofiero collection of papers:

SNSJuly913MajaCleanThis card above features Strolling down the Rose path, Enjoying the fragrance-bs, Princess Margareta’s Garden, a Romantic picnic in the Park-bs, The elegant Wine house papers.CSC149mMajaCleanThis tag was made with a Romantic picnic in the Park-bs.

Hello Maja friends! To my USA fans…Happy Independence Day! Not only is it our country’s birthday, number 237 to be exact, it’s also my sweet husband’s birthday! When he was young, his mother told him that the fireworks were planned just for him! In honor of my ever patient, ever supportive, ever loving husband, I made him card, though not birthday, for all the gratitude I have for the universe having brought us together. (He’s used to flowery stuff and doesn’t complain!) :HeartfeltThnksMclean

This card features the Vintage Spring Basics collection. I used papers from 3rd of April, 4th of April and 5th of April pages. I added some Zva Creative pearl flourishes, lace, flowers and the sentiment is courtesy of Verve stamps.

Here’s another card I made over the during the last 2 weeks featuring Maja Design’s Vintage Spring Basic collection of papers:VCCC07012013MajaClean This card is to commemorate the holiday we’re celebrating today in the US and it features Life by the Sea papers:
