Hello Everyone and Happy Saturday!

It`s my last day today as a guest-designer and I must admit I enjoyed every single minute I worked with these amazing collections.  Thank you very much for having me this month – I truly had a blast!

My layout today is featuring the gorgeous “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection (with the exception of the background paper!). I purposely didn’t treat the background with any mixed media products as I simply wanted to showcase how perfect and ready to use the pattern paper is.

The background paper is from “Crea Diem” collection.

Happy Saturday everyone!

This is Gerry here today. I am sharing another project I created with the brand-new and so beautiful “Vintage Frost Basics” collection. This time I created a layout without using any personal photos – instead I used one of the adorable pictures of Santa you’ll find in the collection.

Mr. Santa_Gerry

After working a bit on the background I began building my page as I fussy cut different patterns, strips, post stamps….in general, all I thought it would go with my design.1

A few of the pattern papers I used with Sizzix dies to decorate the layout like this Moroccan grid which I die-cut with two different pattern papers.

2

Further, once again, I used dies to cut three different rosettes. I added to all rosettes’ centers punched circles – I punched very precisely the patterns which will suit my design!

Don’t you just love that cute little post stamp?! A perfect touch to your project! Love it!

Hello everyone & Happy Saturday!

Are you into Christmas mood already? And are you preparing your Christmas cards? I am finally able to prepare some handmade cards and today I am sharing one of those. I created this card with the brand-new “Vintage Winter Basics” Collection. You will fall in love with the beautiful patterns and colours.

A “Christmas Greetings” Card

The card is based on white cardstock and has the following size: 14cm x 18cm. The background pattern paper is treated with modelling paste. The edges are distressed with sanding paper and a simple hand-stitched border is added for more texture.

I used the pattern papers to die-cut the window and the shabby chic gate ornament (Sizzix).CGC 2

A mixture of modelling paste, true snow paste, perfect pearls and tiny crystals were added to the window.CGC 3

I used a small circle punch for the ice-skates, distressed the edges with sand paper and adhered randomly on the background pattern paper.CGC 1

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am here today to share with you my second project as a guest designer. I chose to work with the beautiful “Vintage Summer Basics” Collection this time. I used the collection with an everyday b/w portrait photo.

Vintage-Summer-Basics-P1

CherishC1I cut out two of the strips of the papers and used them as borders on my project. There were different pattern used with dies to decorate all over the page. Three small flourishes were fussy cut out of the pattern paper to add a few tiny touches.

C2Further, my layout was decorated with flowers and embellishments.

Hello everyone!

This is Gerry and you are reading my first blog post as a guest-designer for Maja Design.Thank you so much for inviting me! I hope I will inspire you with my work this month using these gorgeous papers.

For today’s post I prepared a layout featuring the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection. This collection has such beautiful range of colours and patterns – you can basically match it with everything and you can use all kind of photos. Love it!

Just you 2_Gerry

Vintage-Spring-Basics-P

I chose “1st of March” basic paper for my background which I treated with different masks, stamps and paint to give more texture.

I used Sizzix die-cut frame with two different pattern papers from the collection to decorate the photo.

One more Sizzix die was used to die cut the mini film strip. The mini strip was combined with a strip of the pattern paper (“1st of May”). What I actually did was to cut a strip with one of the flourishes (the small one). I cut two small triangle in both ends so it will look like a banner. Once ready I placed the “banner” underneath the film strip.

Further, I added a few more embellishments (flowers, resin, chipboard title) and then my project was ready 🙂
