Hello everyone!
This is Gerry and you are reading my first blog post as a guest-designer for Maja Design.Thank you so much for inviting me! I hope I will inspire you with my work this month using these gorgeous papers.
For today’s post I prepared a layout featuring the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection. This collection has such beautiful range of colours and patterns – you can basically match it with everything and you can use all kind of photos. Love it!
I chose “1st of March” basic paper for my background which I treated with different masks, stamps and paint to give more texture.
I used Sizzix die-cut frame with two different pattern papers from the collection to decorate the photo.
One more Sizzix die was used to die cut the mini film strip. The mini strip was combined with a strip of the pattern paper (“1st of May”). What I actually did was to cut a strip with one of the flourishes (the small one). I cut two small triangle in both ends so it will look like a banner. Once ready I placed the “banner” underneath the film strip.
Further, I added a few more embellishments (flowers, resin, chipboard title) and then my project was ready 🙂
Maja Design Papers:Â “Vintage Spring Basics” Collection
Other Products I used:
Prima Marketing – flowers, mask, resin, clear stamp;Â Donna Downey – unmounted stamps;Â Sizzix – ornate frame, mini film strip;Â Imaginarium Designs – title chipboard; Tim Holtz – Mask
I hope you enjoyed my first project today! Feel free to ask me any questions about the project by the comments!
Wishing you a creative weekend with Maja Design products!
