Hello everyone, a very warm welcome to Maja Design blog. Today I am showcasing another easel card with stacked elements .One of my fave patterns is gingham check ..there is something very soft and feminine about gingham,  especially pink and white …When I saw the beautiful pink and White gingham papers I decided to create a card for a friend of mine. The soft silver/grey tone on the ribbon completes the card adding the perfect contrast to the pink and white. Pink and White Gingham          I have beautiful memories of some gingham dresses our Auntie made my twin sister and me when we were  about 5 years old .We had 2 gingham dresses, one was blue and white and the other one was pink and white, with a big bow tied at the back… We loved to twirl and dance to music, such fun memories to treasure .April pink and white gingham heart          Pink and white to me has such a soft and delicate feel to it. I think it will always be popular as it seems to come and go the full circle. I mixed the pink and white with the pale greys and spots . April pink and white gingham layers    Lots of diecuts layered with perfect tone on tone….with a chipboard heart and arrow sitting on the top of the stack . April pink and white gingham side view

Look at those layers !!!!! Sometimes I do get a little carried away with the layering, and have to remove some of the diecuts. I have such fun watching the height grow and grow and have to remember when to stop . ( insert smile )  April pink and white gingham inside view     The inside is lined with the pink and white gingham and a delicate scrolled piece of chipboard holds the easel section in place .  April pink and white gingham inside chipboard

April pink and white gingham top viewI took a shot from the top of the stacked layers to give you an idea of the depth and texture of this card. Maja Design  Collections used…Vintage Autumn Basics / No XVI / No XII …. Vintage Spring Basics / 4th March Vintage Frost Basics 6th December . Thanks for popping by to look at my work and I hope you are inspired to create a card or layout with these stunning papers.  Until next  time happy scrapping and big hugz from me x1 my signature

Hello and a warm welcome on this ist day of April. Beautiful weather here is Australia, a perfect Autumn day . A favourite time of the year for me.

PEACE    7 April LO peace Best 1As most of you are aware, I am a nature lover and today I have a layout in the blues and greens showcasing a cluster of glorious driftwood, seaweed and fungus I found on the edge of the ocean on one of our road trips along the Great Ocean Road, a glorious, rugged open ocean, scenic drive along the coast of Victoria, right down the bottom of Australia. 7 April LO layers 2    I have stacked lots of paper Layering, with clusters of chipboard and blooms. The altered key on the heart echoes how nature truly opens my heart, and sends love flowing through my veins. The entire cluster is tied together with cotton string. Looking deep into nature fascinates and intrigues me . Such intimate detail and captivating elements and tiny living organisms on this rich green piece of fungus. There were tiny little insects moving around through the moist green weed , too small for my camera to detect. Nature holds such beauty everywhere.7 April LO layers 4       a closer view of the chipboard title . this is inked in Bamboo Versacolor ink and when dry I dry brushed some white gesso across the word to bring out the texture. 7 April LO layers string 6      a view from the side . here you can see the layers of altered metal, diecut leaves and shapes. I love to raise the photo above the layering to bring the focus to the eye..

7 April LO layers 5     looking  closer at the cluster from the left side of the photo. paper, leaves, chipboard small tiny elegant branches and tiny roses all complete the cluster . these papers give me so much delight and they also have so much woven into each design… wonderful work Marie on each collection.

Maja papers used……Vintage Spring Basics 5th of March, 6th of March, 7th of March, 4th of April, Days to remember, Vintage Summer Basics 1902.          Thanks so much for looking at my work and have fun playing with the beautiful  Maja Design Collections. Take care and have fun , and hope to see you all again next month xox  Heather-sign

Hello my scrapping sistas, welcome to Maja Design. Today I have a layout to show you created with 4 of the Vintage Basics collections. Lots of elements clustered around the photo, giving a three dimensional feel to the page .   …  I seem to be in a Pink mood this month, first my Lady in Pink card and now my Sweet Grand daughter and pink .

SWEET DELIGHT   March LO sweet LAYOUT 2   This background paper is one of my top faves . I love that it does not need much added to it, I did add a tiny  touch of gesso, and some stamping, but in my opinion it is a perfect distressed pink for any background. I also love the striking contrast of the Black and White photo against the deep rich pink. I am so blessed to have such wonderful photos of my grand daughter to scrap. My beautiful and talented daughter TARA takes all the photos .March LO sweet IMAGE 3 layering    Lots of layering again … oh I do love the way Maja Design Collections blend and embrace each other to perfection, creating a magical symphony of textures.    March LO sweet IMAGE 4 bling     I found this Bingo element which adds the perfect touch to the photo. Ella Jai, My adorable Grandie, was eating her fave Sweet Delight, so I weaved the title with the word SWEET and added a word Stamp  ..  DELIGHT March LO sweet IMAGE 6 cluster    A cluster of metal, blooms, stamping and paper…..combining blooms, metal, bling brad, and washi tape all add to the story of my work .  March LO sweet layers and metal    Altered metal element among the layers.  I love to tuck elements under my photo and layers, adding interest and intrigue. March LO sweet layers  More yummo layering, with strands of cotton randomly placed among the layers, adding the perfect finishing touch …… Maja Design materials used …..Vintage Frost Basics 6th December, Vintage Frost Basics 1903,Vintage Summer Basics 1908, Vintage Summer Basics 1922, Vintage Summer Basics 1924, Vintage Spring Basics 4th May, Vintage Spring Basics 6th March , Vintage Spring Basics 7th March….Thanks for popping by and I hope you are inspired to create something beautiful with Maja Design collections.  Until next time , warm hugz from me and happy scrapping xHeather-sign

A very warm Welcome to Maja Design all my fellow scrappers. Heather with you today, sharing a feminine fussy cut card I created for a friend.       … FRIENDSHIP… March card lady in Pink 1 We have been friends for many years and I wanted to make a statement and create lots of stylish layers , representing the various experiences we have had together and the many layers of our friendship and life.  March Card lady in Pink 3 March Card lady in pink 4      I began by cutting white card and folding it into three sections. I created my layers with the Spellbinders Nestabilities. I trimmed a piece of paper 7’ x 4’ for my base , and then proceeded to add my layers. Beginning with the largest die and stacking them in various papers from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection. I completed my card cover by fussy cutting the elegant lady and added her to the top of my stacked diecuts. A Vintage brad adds the finishing touch to my cover.march card Lady in Pink half open 5      Watching the expressions on my friend’s face as she opens the card to see more details inside is pure delight for me xoxo.

March Lady in Pink inside view 7    I love to carry my embellishments to the inside of my cards. This card contains a poem. I also added a stacked tag with a tie, and a diecut folded in half and placed around the edge of the card. Stamp with a friendship stamp and add a strip of Tim Holt tissue tape .

Here is a copy of my poem for you to keep .   Twelve gifts just for you   Happiness – deep down within.  Serenity – with each sunrise.   Success – in each facet of your life.    Family – beside you.  Close and caring friends.  Health – inside you .  Love – that never ends.   Special memories – of all the yesterdays.A bright today – with much to be thankful for .  A path – that leads to beautiful tomorrows. Dreams – that do their best to come true .  Appreciation – of all the wonderful things about you !

Maja Design materials….Vintage Autumn Basics No1, No 11,  No 111,Vintage Frost Basics 19th of December .Tim Holtz Tissue tape, white card, stamp, Spellbinders diecuts, vintage brad. Thanks for dropping by and I do hope you are inspired to create with these super duper papers.
