The leaves are slowly falling to the ground… The kids are laughing and chase them while they jump in every pool of water they can find. Suddenly they stop. Something unfamiliar draws their attention. A little bottle message comes floating and they run to grab it… It’s from Willea, Helena Johansson, and look what she has created for us…

Please stop by Willea’s blog to see more of her wonderful creations, it is well worth the visit.

Posting something online is like sending out a bottle message. The posting drifts away on the waves of the blue sea, living it’s life of it’s own. You never know who will pick it up and what that could result in.

From time to time I’m looking for just that. Bottle messages. Postings that drifts on the sea of internet, just waiting to be picked up and become praised.

This time Willea was highlighted, you could be next. I will send out the new Vintage Autumn Basics collection to her as encouragement. As soon as it has left the printery…Jenny

Our September Mood Board has an autumn theme, full of fresh air and colours. So grab those boots, pack some coffee and take a stroll in the woods…Moodboard-SeptemberAnd here’s a little reminder of what our Mood Boards are used for…

Definition mood board – n

a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other

We are using Mood Boards for our challenges. We truely believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the Mood Boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. A jury will pick a winner and will consider how the colours and theme were used. All Mood Boards are inspired by a specific Maja collection, but you are free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We are presenting a new mood board the first Tuesday of every month. We will be presenting all participating creations that fulfill the requirements below September 24th. We will also draw a winner who will be winning a Maja Design collection of their own choice in 6×6 or 12×12.

After your creation is done, take a photo and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu without any watermarks (size 600×600). Include your full name and address +phone number in the e-mail together with what collection you would like if you win. Don’t forget to write down if you would like 6×6 or 12×12. We need your creation September 22nd at the latest.

We will only publish creations that fullfill the requirements!

Vintage-Autumn-BasicsThe large grandfather’s clock in the library has just chimed six o’clock. The deep sound has started to fade away while the Autumn darkness spreads its wings. Some heritage photos lie on the heavy library table together with grandmother’s old books and grandfather’s music papers. Memories of a time gone by.

The window ledge is covered by frost. The first snowflakes of the season find their way to the ground as the children play outside. They raise their heads towards the sky and welcome them with joy. The summer has passed us for this time.

The quiet, peaceful Autumn is a time to reflect and capture your memories. Sit by the window and see how nature is slowly going to sleep, all while you are scrapping your best memories from the past.

Vintage Autumn Basics is the third ‘Basics Collection’ in the series. The colours reflect this twilight time of year, but are still mixable with the other Basics collections.  These papers have been designed to enhance your family’s treasured memories and strong heritage, but with a reminder to live in the present.

We will start shipping during the second week of September, so make sure not to miss them when they reach a store near you. Please check our store finder to find a retailer in your area.

But… No previews without a giveaway. We will draw three happy winners that will win the new collection in 6×6 or 12×12. All you have to do is…

  • Write a comment on this posting telling us why you should be one of the winners
  • Become a follower of this blog
  • Like us on Facebook or start following us on Twitter
  • Spread the word about the giveaway on your own blog, forums, Facebook etc.
Remember that we’ve changed the number of winners in the past before if there are a lot of entries. We will announce the happy winners September 24th.
