Hello everyone! Nadia here again with you today !  I hope all is well with you.
Today I wanted to show you a layout I created with the gorgeous Crea Diem collection and the absolutely gorgeous Sofiero from Maja Design . I REALLY love the soft pinks in both these collections and for this layout I added a touch of orange to match my baby girl’s top!

This layout was also inspired by my talented friend Riikka’s tutorial in the Pop & Colours #2 online workshops , and the composition of it was based on Shirel’s take on Riikka’s class. Thank you girls for the incredible inspiration you have provided in these workshops. I am also teaching a class at these workshops and you will find the information on that HERE

I started by preparing the base paper, which is the “Royal Summer Residence” paper from the Sofiero collection , with Gesso. Just a light layer so it withstands the mixed media mediums I will place on it.

I then cut strips from the “Fylld av kärlek” paper from the Crea Diem collection and placed them behind the place where my photo will be. I added some modelling paste with a stencil directly on top and then added some stamping when that was dried.

I then, following the ideas of the tutorial,  took out a number of colour mists, inks etc in the same tones and applied them with some water and brush. Others I applied directly with tip of the mist bottle to give it a different finish.

Here is a close up of the Manor House Creations flowers I have used.

And some more gorgeous purple flowers from Manor House Creations. In the image above you can also see some strips of the Crea Diem papers I used on my background.

Hello! Nadia with you today. Well here I am today with my very last post as a Guest Designer!

Today I have something totally NOT Christmas themed, or holiday themed LOL I have used the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection to create a soft and romantic layout of my 2 older daughters.

I love the beautiful colours of this collection. Probably one of my favourites 🙂 I used the “3rd of May” and “4th of May” papers here. 732112346

I added some spots with a stencil and modelling paste over my background and layers.

The soft and warm colours of this collection lend themselves to some really gorgeous soft pink flowers and neutral embellishments.

Hi everyone. Have you finished all your Christmas shopping? If not you better get to it! Christmas is only 4 days AWAY!! 🙂 I cannot wait. I love Christmas. It is my favourite time of the YEAR . I really long for a white Christmas.. sigh.. one day 🙂

Today I have a Christmas card for you that I hope will inspire you to create something similar in the days to come.

I created this card with the “Vintage Winter” collection

For this card here I started by adding some very thick Gesso to the edges of a thick Mixed Media card.

I then cut and sanded the “December” paper from the collection into various sizes, before using a sentiment from the Vintage WInter die cut sheet.

I added some lace trip, some twine and some flowers and now it is ready to give to someone special.. hmmm.. I wonder who?

Products Used

Paper: Maja Design “Vintage Winter”collection – December, die cut sheet

Flowers: Manor House Creations

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
