Hi everyone! Nadia again with you today showing you my second project as part of my Design Team spot here at Maja Design.

Today I have used the beautiful blues and neutrals from Vintage Autumn Basics

Autumn-Basics-P

Now I know it is almost Christmas but in my part of the world (Sydney , Australia) it is absolutely lovely as we are right at the beginning of Summer! YAY! So for this next layout I really wanted to use the blues from Vintage Autumn Basics so I dug deep into my childhood photos and came up with this one.

I cannot believe I am posting this online. My brothers will KILL me! LOL! But that is me in the middle, and my older brothers on each side. The other little boy is my cousin.

This is when I was about 3 and we left our small village in rural Greece to visit the BIG city of Piraeus near Athens in Greece! WOW.. I actually can remember this day.

I decided to use “No. VIII” as a contrasting paper behind my base paper, which is the gorgeous “No. XXI”

Once I applied gesso all over the background of the No.XXI paper, I stamped some images in black Archival ink for more contrast.

The quote comes from the excess strip you cut off at the edge of the “No. XIII” paper. AWESOME idea!

I have also used some paper scraps and strips from the “No. VIII”  paper to matt my photo.

Products Used:

Paper: Maja Design “Vintage Autumn Basics”

Flowers: All from Manor House Creations

Butterfly: Karlas Kreative Corner etsy shop

Hi everyone! Its Nadia Cannizzo here with you today .

I am SO excited to be here as Guest Designer for one of my MOST favourite manufactures Maja Design! I have been so spoilt by Maja Design :)) I have been sent a gorgeous box full of papers to work with TWICE and I love the softness and warmth of these designs.

So today being my first post, and because it is almost Christmas (how???), I decided to start with the beautiful Vintage Frost Basics collection

“Christmas 2010”

Here is one of my favourite Christmas pictures of my two older girls. I love this picture because of the oldest girl’s expression and because the little one looks SO cute and JUST like her dad in this picture.

732112343 I started by treating a piece of “6th Of December” paper with some mixed media, including stencils, gesso, modelling paste and some inks and sprays..

732112341I then cut strips of “4th Of December” and adhered them to the base paper together with some joint tape and masking tape.

732112342 I also added some fussy cutting from the “Days Of December” die cut paper as well as a sentiment.

732112340I finished it all off with a signature black title, my favourite Manor House Creations flowers and frames, and other embellishments.
