Hello Lenet here today and I bring you a…Christmascard.

I know a lot of you don’t want to think about any thing Christmassy right now but I’m in a Christmas mood all year long.

I’m a member of two facebook groups that have a Chrismascard challenge  , and for that I need to make two Christmas cards a month, I can share them but If I have the time I want to make  4 different ones . Two for each group. You can never have enough Christmascards

The Christmas collections of Maja are just to gorgeous for not using them , so I use them a lot. that means you will see more Christmas cards from me thru out the year.

This one is made with several leftovers from different Christmas collections. I just love to make bleu ones it gives that winter and snow feeling I love and always hope we have at that time.

Besides the papers I used spellbinder dies , summerfeelings doily die from studio light and the Tim Holtz mini snow flakes rosette die. I just love rosettes.

I hope you like the card I made for your inspiration hope to see you back next time and don’t forget to come back to see the amazing things the other Maja girls make for you

Winter Greetings

Hello! I send a warm winter welcome from all of us at the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here on this beautiful Monday. I hope everyone is staying toasty and finding ways to conquer to the chill in the air. The flu got the best of me these last few weeks, but I’m finally recovered and so thankful to be back with you all.

My  favorite activity for a cold, damp day is spending cozy time in my craft room. That is exactly what I did this weekend, so I have a new card to share with you! I had some extra papers left from Maja Design’s newest collection, Christmas Season, and want to share ways you can incorporate holiday papers into your projects once Christmas has passed. This versatility of every Maja Design collection is just one of the wonders of their beautiful papers.

Today’s ‘all occasion’ card is monochromatic and focuses on the gorgeous shades of blue that are abundant in this collection. I feel like blues are always ideal for winter creations.

Stitched layers form a base for the florals and various embellishments, which come together to create a peaceful and wintery focal point.

Below is a view of the interior of the card.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies, Flower Shaping Tools, Tim Holtz Alterations Ephemera, Wooden Key, Purchased Small Paper Flowers, Glass Pearls, Prima Resin Frame, Twine, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you’ll have a chance to participate in the new February Mood Board. The winner receives and entire collection of lovely Maja Design Papers, which is a great way to begin the New Year. May your week be filled with all things good and wonderful!

Hugs,

Nancy Dynes

Jennifer Snyder here sharing winter fun with an adorable snowman snow globe card.
I realize it’s summer, and the snow is finally gone – but I really do love snowmen and snow globes.   Plus when I add a shaker card, I’m loving life.
Here are the papers I used from the Vintage Winter collection by Maja Design:
Hej-mitt-vinterland
Fun in the Snow
Winter Joy
The snow globe was created using the cool die from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken.  The snowman is also a Spellbinders die.
To assemble the card, I cut the sweet snowman from the Vintage Winter collection and glued him to the side of the shaker snow globe.

Here is a quick 30 second video showing the snow globe shaker card in motion.
I just love making shaker cards.

The die has many pieces – meaning many layers to assemble in order to create the dimensional look.
My snowballs are actually little foam balls.   They work perfectly here.

I wanted the snow to shake and fall around the snowman and be a bit more dimensional.
In order to do that, I have provided my “sandwich” – describing the way I created the layers.
You can see a close up of the layers in the image below.

On the second side of the shaker card, I cut the image of the little boy throwing snowballs from the Maja Design paper.   Perfect for my card.

Thanks for stopping here to see my winter creation.  Now back to Summer….
Happy Crafting.

Hello Maja Design Friends,

I’ve got a couple of cards to share with you today – totally inspired by the snow in Winter

Wonderful_Winter_Cards

For my cards I used Vintage Winter collection , my number one among all of the beautiful Maja Christmas papers. Each year I can not pass by and create a bunch of cards with mostly blue colors.

Wonderful_Winter_Cards_01

I like the color combo of white and blue, it seems that I can feel how calm it is when the snow falls down

I’ve added the flowers on my cards, mostly white and silver grey, I guess they add the frosty feeling.

I also die cut the frames from the papers and the glittered cardstock, the snowflakes chipboard that I kept raw and the crochet doily

Hope you have liked my cards and enjoy this special time of the year.

Hello Maja Design friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a Christmas card I made by combining two Maja Design holiday collections: Maja Design – A Gift For You and Maja Design – Vintage Winter .

I love that the collections can often be used together.  That’s part of the magic of Maja Design.  It’s  always fun when you can make the most of the products and paper you purchase.  That’s the added value of Maja Design collections.   While some of the papers in the Holiday/Christmas collections certainly have images that are “themed ” for the holidays, the B sides of the papers offer prints that can be used for any occasion.
The papers I used are shown in the image above and are as follows:
My darling snowman die is from Memory Box dies.  I think it’s adorable.   Accented with some Flowers,  pine branches and he’s all set for the Holidays.
And one last close up from a different angle so you can see the dimension of my card.

Thank you for choosing  to spend your time at the Maja Design blog.  We treasure that.
