Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design’s blog with a new layout and the photo of a clematis taken during a walk in the beautiful village of Chédigny (Indre-et-Loire, France).

Clematis_Pascale

I began to apply a layer of Clear gesso on the background to protect the paper and also to help the colors to react as I was working on a watercolor paper. Then i added a design with a stencil and Black Sand texture paste.

Clematis_detail3_Pascale

While the background dried, I’ve altered the chipboards: the Ring Panel was covered with Graphite paste and the Rose Border with Black Gesso, then with Twinkling H2O.

Clematis_detail1_Pascale

I used differents blends of pigment/mica to color the flowers: Glimmer Mist, Twinkling H2O and Primary Elements. I die cut the leaves in the Vintage Autumn Basics n°VII paper, and used both sides. I cut also some strip of papers (n°II et n°VII) to add under the photo. I shaded everything with Distress ink to add some depth.

I finished the lay out with some ramdom splatters of black Gesso and some Art Ingredients.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a photo of the beautiful Oriental Park in Maulévrier (France).

Maulevrier_Pascale

I started by gluing together two papers of the Sva vi ta en fika collection. Then I added a design with gold crackle paste and a stencil that remind of the glittering of the water.

Maulevrier_detail0_pascale

When the crackle paste was dry, I used some Ecoline to color the background in different shades of green and brown.

Maulevrier_detail1_Pascale

I used some Silks paints o color the different leaves. For the flowers, i worked with the Twinkling H2Os.

Maulevrier_detail3_Pascale

I split the dragonly’s wings to give them more litghness. When the wings were dry, I covered the body with the graphite paste and the wings, painted with Twinkling H2O, were covered with crackle accent.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with another photo I’ve taken at the Priory of Saint Cosmes (Centre – France). It’s a view of the church that is partially destroyed.

StCosmes2_Pascale

I started by adding some big splatters of white diluted gesso, then some black gesso with a sponge. I added a design with a stencil and black Archival ink.

Hello Sweeties,
Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a photo that I take at the Priory of Saint Cosmes (Centre – France).  The priory was the last resting place of the french poet Pierre de Ronsard (1524-1584). The photo shows the pulpit of the lector of the refectory as well as one of the 16 stained glass window created by the painter Zao Wou-Ki (1920-2013).

StCosmes_Pascale

I started to glue a piece of paper on the background. When done, I colored some white crackle paste with a  blue Twinkling H2O. I used the blend crackle paste to add a design with a stencil.

StCosmes_detail5_Pascale

While the paste was drying, I started layering some papers under my photo. I used mostly pieces of 1891 and Minnen sheets from the Vintage Summer Basics collection.

StCosmes_detail2_Pascale

I colored the chipboards and die-cut title with a mix of Rust Mica Powder and two shades of browns Twinkling H2Os to add some depth. I colored flowers and leaves with more Twinkling H2O.

StCosmes_detail1_Pascale

While everything was drying, I added some colors to my background to match the photo, some dark blue and some red tp match the dots of red of the stained glass that we can see in the photo.

StCosmes_detail3_Pascale

After gluing all the embellishments, I added some glass glitters and microbeads. I finished with some random stamping with a script stamp and two wall textures stamps for more interest.
