Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design’s blog with a new layout and the photo of a clematis taken during a walk in the beautiful village of Chédigny (Indre-et-Loire, France).

I began to apply a layer of Clear gesso on the background to protect the paper and also to help the colors to react as I was working on a watercolor paper. Then i added a design with a stencil and Black Sand texture paste.

While the background dried, I’ve altered the chipboards: the Ring Panel was covered with Graphite paste and the Rose Border with Black Gesso, then with Twinkling H2O.

I used differents blends of pigment/mica to color the flowers: Glimmer Mist, Twinkling H2O and Primary Elements. I die cut the leaves in the Vintage Autumn Basics n°VII paper, and used both sides. I cut also some strip of papers (n°II et n°VII) to add under the photo. I shaded everything with Distress ink to add some depth.

I finished the lay out with some ramdom splatters of black Gesso and some Art Ingredients.
