Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basic collection. I chose a photo of the Daum Venus aux Tiroirs by Salvador Dali.

Blue Venus by Pascale B.

I stamped here and there with a grey ink before priming the background with clear gesso. I added also a very thin layer of white gesso to tone down the blue.

Next, I added a design with a stencil and Paper texture paste. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkle two embossing powders: one pearl, the other silver that I heat set.

Then, I added some colors: black ink, white ink, and steel mica to add some contrast.

While the inks were drying, I die cut some leaves in a watercolor paper. I colored with a blue ink and embossed the big ones. I covered the other ones with a silver foil. I colored some flowers in blue.

I cut some papers in the Home for Holidays collection to add under the photo. Before gluing all the embellishments, I stamped some text here and there with a black ink.

To finish the layout, I added silver microbeads and glitters.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basics. I worked with a photo I’ve taken during an event at the Château de l’Islette (Loire Valley, France).

Next, I added a second design with a second stencil and paper paste. While the paper paste was still wet I sprinkled two embossing powders that I heated set.

I die cut different leaves in a vellum paper and in a watercolor paper. I embossed them with the same powders.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments: some sisal, a few flowers whose hearts I’ve changed, some paper clay elements, the leaves and some crystals.

To finish the layout I stamped again with a text stamp.

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maje Design blog with a new layout featuring the Celebration collection. I chose a photo of my father with his parents and his sister taken in 1959.

Family Street by Pascale B.

I tore the Champagne sheet in three pieces, and I glued them to the Anniversary. Then, I stamped the background with a brown ink before priming it with clear gesso.

Next, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste. I let it dry naturally.

I die-cut some leaves in a watercolor paper, that I colored with green and brown inks.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo as well as sisal. I started to build the composition with different elements: flowers, doily’s scraps, leaves and a black street sign.

When happy, I colored lightly the background with green, brown and pink inks.

To finish the layout I added some microbeads.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring the Vintage Summer Basics collection.

Both cards were made the same way, only the flowers are different. I primed the background with clear gesso. Next, I added a design with a stencil and the Camouflage Effect Paste set.

While the paste was drying, I die cut some leaves and stems in a watercolor paper. I die cut also a doily in the 1914 paper.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Vintage Summer Basic collection. And the cutie on the photo is my mom when she was 19 months old.

I stamped the background with two stamps and two Archival inks: one black, the other brown. Next, I primed the background paper with clear gesso.

I colored the background with different coral and brown inks. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and white crackle paste. I set it aside to dry naturally.

In the meantime, I die cut some leaves and flowers in a watercolor paper. I colored the leaves with brown and green inks and I kept the die cut flowers white.

I colored the edges of the petal’s roses with a coral ink. Then I sprayed water to allow the ink to fuse.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo. I glued some sisal before gluing papers and photo and all the embellishments.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com
