When Leaves are Falling

Hello,today I am here to share with you a fall LO,using the beautiful Walking in the Forrest Collection….

I used: Bird Song,Flannel Shirt,Jeans,Mountain Ash,Orchestra of Nature & a BS of a label.. The Chipboard used is from Dusty Attic. Here are some closeups of detail….I did distressed payer layers,using burlap & corrugate paper in my layers….On the birds on the branch,I stained the branches with Vintage photo,& on the leaves I used green & barn door red. I then applied a thick coat of rock candy crackle. & once the crackle dried brushed on some gesso,to bring out the cracks & to tone down the color. I also cut out the birds from the Collection, & glued them on to the branches….Chicken wire under the fence….

I also did some stencil work,using CWS confetti & Viva Modelling cream. When the cream dried I rubbed in brown & orange chalk….

Hello,today I am here to share with you a LO I did using the beautiful Fika Collection….

The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic & the flowers are from IamRoses. Here are some closeups of detail…

Shows punch work,distressing & hand stitching….

I used DA forrest paint, for the green, used on the chipboard. On the flower of the vine, I stained it with plum alcohol ink,then applied a coat of rock candy crackle. Once the crackle dried, I dry painted on DA sugar plum paint,to bring out the cracks & tone down the color…

I used black gold TA glimmer mist on the Alpha,numbers,gate & hanging post…

Shows some stamp & stencil work….

The stencil used is TCW,confetti,I used Viva modelling cream,champagne. When the cream dried I rubbed in some plum pebbles chalk….

Hello,today I am going to share with you a LO I did,combining the Vintage Autumn Basics Collections, plus a couple cards I made, using the “new” A gift for You Collection…

I used:No.X,No.I.No.II,No.II-BS,Heritage & a BS of a label

I Used:19th of Dec

The Chipboard used is from Dusty Attic. Here are some closeups of detail…..

I did paper layers,some punch work,ripping & distressing. I did some hand stitching, & used ribbon in my layers.

Lace with a BS of a label,on the title I used shabby pink Smooch……

On the leafy flourish I applied picket fence crackle,then rubbed in a green chalk,once the crackle dried….

I also glued on some pearls onto the leafy flourish…

I made the headband,used it in the photo,then on the LO….

Burlap flower from Prima…

I used shabby pink Smooch on the fancy trim….

I used picket fence crackle on the leafy scroll,then rubbed in green chalk on the leaves & pink on the flowers. For the flower center, I used shabby pink smooch,liquid accents &micro beads…

Here is a card I made using the new Collection ” A gift for You”

I used: From Santa with Love,Underneath the Christmas Tree-BS,Packed by Santa’s Elves-BS,Given from the Heart,Shipped from the North Pole, & the Die Cut Sheet

The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic

I did paper layers,ripping & hand stitching.I also used some corrugated paper & cheese cloth in the layers. On the under part of the decorative Scroll, I use red pepper ink,then rock candy crackle. Once the crackle dried I rubbed in some black chalk,then some white chalk. On the top part of the Scroll I used MS texture effects white,& sprinkled on so glitter while the effects was still wet…

I used:From someone special,Given from the heart,Packed with Santas Elves,Wrapped in old newspaper,Wrapped in old newspaper-BS,Die cut sheet & BS of lables

The stocking banner is Dusty Attic. On this card I did paper layers,hand stitching & covered the chipboard with paper.

Hello & Welcome to my Scraproom….

I started scrapbooking in 2002,helping out my middle son,Erlendur with his grade 12, language arts “Memory Book” project. At this time I had never heard of scrapbooking, but this was how all the girls in his class, were doing their projects! So Erlendur asked his friends where to get supplies & got the info on scrapbooking. I worked with the photo’s (matte & paste,added stickers,ect.beginner self taught scrapbooking), Erlendur did the writing. I worked out of plastic bins,that I stored in the spare bedroom,& dragged into the kitchen. Little did we know,that Rachelle had found her passion!!! I got addicted to scrapbooking,& of course to the supplies.My front room,living room,dining room was never used,so I decided to change it into my scrap space.

I had a friend custom make, my work station. I stand to scrap,so I had him build me a island,with lots of drawers. It is in the center of the lowers area,with easy access,to all of my supplies,in drawers, or in the boxes, on the selves…..

Shows the other side of work station,with more drawers. Behind are paper racks,in the last couple years I have been 99% working with Maja Design papers,but I have not purged any of my old paper. I use the old paper as a backing on my LO’s, for extra support..

A photo taken from the opposite side of the room. This room is just off the front entrance of our home,& right next to the kitchen. There are 3 large windows facing south. The lighting over the work station is a pool table light….

This is the raised area of the scraproom,that holds my computer, photo printer & more shelves & boxes for storage…

I decided to decorate my room, with my late sisters Art. JoAnne was a year younger then me,born on the same day. She passed away about a year before, I got into scrapbooking….

I painted all the boxes blue,then scrapbooked them with JoAnne’s Art. I also labeled the boxes….

Yes, I do have a sewing machine, I have had it for years but still have not figured out how to thread it,so instead I spend hour’s hand stitching…

OK,I need to admit something! I have my scrap space, but I still can be found, at my kitchen island, scrapbooking!!!!The center & social area of our home!!!! Cheers & Happy Scrapbooking….Rachelle

Hello,today I am here to share with you a LO, I did using a photo of my BF’s Beautiful new little granddaughter….

I used 6th of March & 7th of May

I used 8th of Dec,7th of Dec,6th of Dec

The Chipboard used is from Dusty Attic. Here are some closeups of detail….

I did many layers,some distressed,some with punch work & chipboard layers. I also did some hand stitching, & stitched on strings of beads….

I did some stencil work, using TCW Art is & Viva Modeling cream (champagne). I stained the ivy with TA-GM chalkboard (decadence),& once that dried I applied a coat of rock candy crackle. Once the crackle dried, I rubbed in some pebbles pearl chalk (off white), to bring out the cracks & also to try to get the color, closer to the leaves in the paper. On the hearts of the vine I used Viva Modeling Cream (rose)…..

Shows some more layers & the top part of a heart. I used picket fence crackle on the scallop border & on the fancy trim I used shabby pink smooch,then inked the edges using a brown ink pad.

Isn’t she beautiful!!!!

I dry brushed on some LuminArte’ (heavenly white), on to the page pebbles & nameplate. On the outside edges of the name plate & the wordlet, I used shabby pink smooch,then inked the edges using a brown ink pad…

The flower under the nameplate is Prima…

I wrapped ribbon & beads around the photo,then made a flower cluster using Prima flowers…
