Hello Maja Friends. Hope that some of you have a chance to enjoy the winter and the snow. Unfortunately it is not me. There is no snow, only fogs and really nasty weather.

Anyway, I have started creating a Christmas Cards Marathon and I still can not give it up. So today I have 2 cards to share with you. So simple , however I am enjoying paper crafting at the moment.

WinterHouse_MFT_ElenaOLinevich

I used the brand new Christmas Collection . it is so beautiful with a snow feeling that thare is no need to hide it under the tons of embellishments, that’s why I tried to create more paper layers, using at least 5 dies.

I was afraid that using several deers will influence negative on my card, but it seems that they can handle with it, though I do it too.

Fot my second card I made some stamping

Card_MFt_ElenaOlinevich_Christmas

I stamped the house image on a striped patterned paper and made some snowflakes stamping on the white cardstock as well

Hope you have a wonderful week end. Thank you so much for joyining me today.

Hello Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

It’s Maja here to share a layout I made using our latest release, the Home for the Holidays collection. But no, still no Christmas projects – but Maja Design’s collections are all so universal you can use them for any theme 🙂 And so my layout is about my younger son, whose smile reminds me of a shiny star, brightening up his face 🙂

mdshine

First I added some pattern – and texture, at the same time – with modeling paste and a stencil. As the title of my layout is “Shine on”, I decided to use the star motif as he dominant element of the design. I traced some of the stencilled stars and die-cut and layered several star shapes:

Then I added some shine, of course 🙂 I used various mists to distress and colour chipboard pieces. I also included a real vintage clock face 🙂

mdshine2

I mixed some masculine motives such as gears and screw brads…

…with some softer accents like flowers and sequins. I brushed the flowers with white gesso to give them a more shabby look. I also added some paper signature strips – do love them!

mdshine3

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Home for the Holidays: Family bs, Friends, Friends bs, Traditions, Traditions bs, To spend time. Other: dies: Spelbinders; flowers: Prima, my stash; chipboard: Scrapiniec, Wycinanka; brads: Rayher; mists: Prima, Tattered Angels; charm, string, sequins: my stash.

I do like the way the layout turned out, both boyish and delicate and sweet, just as little boys are 🙂

See you soon!

Hello Everyone <3

Today I want to start by telling you that this is my first blogpost with the new collection, Home for the Holydays and I’m thrilled that I can touch and feel these lovely sheets <3

Home-for-the-holidays-P

It’s me, Silje Kristin which will inspire you with three paper bags that I have decorated. The whole idea I got when I wanted to surprise a special person, with something I have close to my heart, my passion <3

I have decorated three brown paper bags and all the bags are decorated with pattern paper from the new collection, I’ve have used paper from the paper pad and the sheets 12×12. One is brown, the other is in red and the last one that stands a little out is blue.

Whoever, my favorite is the one in blue and it is also this one I made for someone I whant to have a special Christmas Eve <3

On the front of the bag I have used a image with a deer on.

The details around are pine needles, flowers, pine cones, stars, frosted berries and cheesecloth.

On the back side of the bag, I have placed two buttons, a bow in one and a flat dot on the top of the both buttons. Around the buttons I’ve used brown twinr to keep the bag close.

The one in brown, has much of the same details as the one in blue, but there are some differences.

The images on this bag is a girl in winter clothes, I have cut here out from a sheet with several image. The deer and the Santa Claus is from the same sheet.

The details are the same, just that some of them are brown. The flowers are from Wild Orchids, the needles was a Christmas decorations that I clippet in pices, so I could use it for this project.

On the back, you can se that the details are the same, here you can also see all the brown half pearls which I have attached in every corner.

God Jul is a dies from kaBoks, God Jul is the norwegian word for Merry Christmas.

The last bag and the one in red, I have chosen to make it with real Christmas Spirit.

The puch, you can see on all the paper bags are a punch from Martha Stewart, called Eyelet Lace.

On the paper bags and on the pattern sheets are all Distresses with Distress Ink Ground Espresso, I do this to give the bags a vintage Christmas / Winter feeling.

Now you’ve seen my special gift bags and I look forwars to being able to give away the other two for someone that means a lot to me <3

I wish you all a great sunday <3
