Hi there Maja friends!
I’m having a fun project to share with you today!
An altered alarm clock with a photo -step by step- tutorial.
For this project I used all 4 Vintage Basics from Maja Design,
Vintage Spring, Vintage Summer, Vintage Autumn and Vintage Frost collection.
Those Maja collections work so well together!!

Let’s start to alter this alarm clock! The alarm got a coat of gesso first.
I found this alarm clock at a local flea market and after putting out all of his inside
it looks a little like a sad smiley don’t you think?
I guess he wanted me to make him more pretty! LOL!

Tearing up some bits and pieces from all the paper collections.

Randomly glueing them on the clock with Mod Podge.

Also glueing the inside.

Love to play with all those little pieces!
These collections work perfectly together!

Those clocks always make a lovely extra touch to any project.
They come from the Autumn collection, No.XVI

Randomly added some clocks.

I used two ways to make my flowers,
A punch and a die from Spellbinders.

These little cuties were made with a punch.
I punched them three times and added a brad.
Crumbled them up and shaped the flower.

Also rolled some paper for an extra embellishment.

All done and ready to embellish!!

Between some mesh all the paper flowers.

Added some lace on one of the bells and around the side.

This metal piece is a part of a bracelet I had in my stash for awhile.

The beautiful big tulle flower is from 13 Arts.
Just love their fabric flowers!

The chipboard, the flourish, the key and the butterfly is from Dusty Attic.

And the final result!
I’m happy to say that this clock found a lovely new home!
It was made for my co-worker.

The Vintage collections.

Hi there Maja fans!
Ingrid here today with a chest of 4 drawers with 4 different Maja collections.

For this project I used ALL four Vintage Basics collections,
Vintage Spring, Vintage Summer, Vintage Autumn and Vintage Frost.
All of the Maja collections work so well together!!

I used the following papers:
Vintage Spring: 7th of May
Vintage Summer: 1909
Vintage Autumn: No.XII
Vintage Frost: 7th of December

The lovely handles come from a Dutch online store: Scrap-Unlimited.
They have the most beautiful metal embellishments!

These gorgeous tulle flowers and the white paper flower are from 13Arts.

Yep, another earring! lol
Love to use them on a project!

Also made some flowers with the Maja collections.

The big flourish and also the mini fleur des lis on the drawers are from Dusty Attic.

A close up from the hand made flowers.

Top view of the chest with the No. XII from the Vintage Autumn collection.

You can’t have enough of these so I made a card as well. For this one I used the Vintage Autumn and Vintage Frost collection.
The background comes from the 6×6 pack of the Vintage Autumn collection.
Chipboard is from Dusty Attic and the twigs are from 13Arts.

Hope you liked my todays post and you will be inspired to combine all the wonderful Maja collections as well!

Hello everyone, a very warm welcome to Maja Design blog. Today I am showcasing another easel card with stacked elements .One of my fave patterns is gingham check ..there is something very soft and feminine about gingham,  especially pink and white …When I saw the beautiful pink and White gingham papers I decided to create a card for a friend of mine. The soft silver/grey tone on the ribbon completes the card adding the perfect contrast to the pink and white. Pink and White Gingham          I have beautiful memories of some gingham dresses our Auntie made my twin sister and me when we were  about 5 years old .We had 2 gingham dresses, one was blue and white and the other one was pink and white, with a big bow tied at the back… We loved to twirl and dance to music, such fun memories to treasure .April pink and white gingham heart          Pink and white to me has such a soft and delicate feel to it. I think it will always be popular as it seems to come and go the full circle. I mixed the pink and white with the pale greys and spots . April pink and white gingham layers    Lots of diecuts layered with perfect tone on tone….with a chipboard heart and arrow sitting on the top of the stack . April pink and white gingham side view

Look at those layers !!!!! Sometimes I do get a little carried away with the layering, and have to remove some of the diecuts. I have such fun watching the height grow and grow and have to remember when to stop . ( insert smile )  April pink and white gingham inside view     The inside is lined with the pink and white gingham and a delicate scrolled piece of chipboard holds the easel section in place .  April pink and white gingham inside chipboard

April pink and white gingham top viewI took a shot from the top of the stacked layers to give you an idea of the depth and texture of this card. Maja Design  Collections used…Vintage Autumn Basics / No XVI / No XII …. Vintage Spring Basics / 4th March Vintage Frost Basics 6th December . Thanks for popping by to look at my work and I hope you are inspired to create a card or layout with these stunning papers.  Until next  time happy scrapping and big hugz from me x1 my signature

A very good morning to you, Maja Fans! 🙂 It’s Maja here to share a somewhat philosophical layout 😉

Alas, my dear friends, tempus fugit… Christmas was only like yesterday, and here we are, a day after Easter, waiting for summer holidays. It seems to me the older I get, the faster time flies! But there is something we can do about that – just seize the moment and cherish your memories 🙂 And so I decided to create this page about time:

mdtempusI thought of a “clocky” design, using various clock faces as elements of my composition. First I prepared the background: I trimmed the No. XIX paper from the Autumn Vintage Basics collestion, distressed the edges and layered it over the 13th of December sheet from the Vintage Frost Basics collection (I love how those stripes correspond with one another!). Then, using a Prima mask and white gesso, I added some “brickwall” textured pattern:

mdtempus1I adopted the printed page title for my title as well, adding pearls and the year 2014 in Roman numerals:

mdtempus2Using chipboard clock faces as frames, I arranged my boys’ mini photos:

mdtempus3And then just started to fill in the “bubbly” design with flowers and clock faces cut out from papers (those I additionally inked with Faded Jeans, Vintage Photo and Walnut STain Distress inks) or metal charms:

mdtempus4mdtempus5I just love using the signature strips 🙂 Here they serve as journaling comments:

mdtempus6And finally I used my favourite wing stamp by Stampers Anonymous – the image is so perfect! I stamped it, inked them, cut them out and covered with glitter:

mdtempus7And so, even though time flies, we an always go back to our favourite memories 🙂

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Frost Basics: 13th of December bs; Vintage Autumn Basics: No. XIX, No. XIV, No. XVI, Heritage.

Other: resin frames: Melissa Frances, chipboard clocks: Stempell&Kartoon, Anemone, Heidi Swapp; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima; stamp: Stampers Anonymous; Distress inks Ranger; gesso Claudine Helmuth; mask: Prima; stickers: Authentique; metal charms: from my stash.

I hope you liked my time page – drop by tomorrow for some new inspiration!
