Good Morning Maja friends!

The time is right for a new winter inspiration. Actually snow should be here now and the frost pinch in the cheeks, but our winter weather is and remains dead loss. It’s grey and dreary, but the best time for crafting, or?!

I love the timeless delicate colors and designs of this beautiful paper collection, always suitable to a lot of various themes. I used this striped design as background, colours reminds me on frosty days,

on a walk through the snowy winter wood and all the secrets you can discover there.

Hello dear Maja Fans,  Lenet  here today.

First of all I want to wish you all a wonderful and creative 2018.

I’m so happy to be a part of this wonderful team and hope I will give you lots of inspiration.

For my first post on this blog I made this layout using the Vintage Frost Basics.

Because this picture is taken when we had the first snow this year I decided to give it a real snowy theme.

First thing I did was making a snowy effect on the background paper using embossing paste and the Confetti#2 stencil from dusty attic.

I used a lot of sparkly snowflakes, they  are clear flakes from Maja Road where I put ranger diamondstickles on.

Some of the flakes I cut in pieces and sticked  them behind the flowers instead of leaves.

I don’t know the brand of the chipboard frame I used, but I glittered it with a mixture of clear embossing powder and fine glitter , cut it in pieces and glued it at different place on the layout.

The flowers are from 49 market and wild orchid.

Thank you for stopping by , I hope I gave you some inspiration with this layout

Hello, dear friends! I hope you’re having the happiest of holidays! It’s Nancy with you,  and it’s my great honor to share my final Christmas card of the season. I did try to share this with you two weeks ago, but there were problems with Maja Design’s WordPress on the day, and my post was somehow permanently lost after a very short period of time. Hence, I am giving it another go today and hoping for much better luck!

This winter wonderland card is created using one of my favorite frosty paper collections, Vintage Frost Basics!

Dimensional snowflakes, icy branches, snowballs, and loopy twine bows abound in this wintery scene.

The blues and whites work quite well together in creating a frosty chill!

Below is a peek at the interior of the card, including a little pocket to hold a gift card.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new project. Christmas is nearly there, and I was thinking that having a few more Xmas cards could be handy. And here I’m with a new set of cards with the Vintage Frost Basics.

Xmas Card by Pascale B.

Both cards are made the same way and are really simple to realize.

Xmas Card by Pascale B.

I cut two papers: one dark and one light. I cut the lighter slightly smaller than the dark one and I distress their edges.

I glue the lighter on top of the dark one. I cut some greeneries and mistletoes in different papers from the Vintage Frost Basics collection.

Then I glue the floral arrangement. And I die cut some letters to add “Merry Xmas”.

I wish a happy hello to all of the wonderful friends of Maja Design! It’s Nancy back with you today, and I’m up to my ears in snowflakes! Not the cold kind that you sled in, because we don’t get snow where I live, but the frilly and frosty paper ones that I make every year around this time for my Christmas cards. I start early with my cards because time seems to fly during November and December, and I’m also childishly excited over the Christmas holiday.

I never use anything but Maja Design papers for my snowflakes. It stays intact despite the delicate nature of the die cuts, and is perfect for layering into these dimensional flakes. For this first card of the season I’ve chosen the fabulous Vintage Frost Basics Collection.

The base of the card is formed as usual, by distressing, layering, and stitching the design papers. I’m sticking with just two colors this time around, because soft blues and whites create a wonderful chilly feeling when used together.

There are no flowers this time (which rarely happens for me), but instead an arrangement of layered snowflakes topped off with a bit of white sand texture paste for a truly frosty finish. Icy branches and tiny snowballs enhance the frozen effect.

A little bow graces the corner, simply because I love them and feel like nothing is finished without one.
