I am a pure autumn girl. I love when the darkness falls, there’s a chill in the wind and the leaves are changing colour. There’s nothing better then crawl up in the sofa in front of the fireplace with some hot chocolate.

I have used the wonderful Walking In The Forest collection for this photo. I remember I ran in the woods while Marie was drawing it and I texted her “rowanberries. We need rowanberries.” She answered “I already have :)” Then I knew that this collection was going to be fantastic. autumn5_

I love all the beautiful cut out details in this collection. I have used the envelope on the die cut sheet here together with Prima embellishments.

I love this branch that goes so well with the Walking In The Forest collection. The resins are perfect for it as well. The butterfly stripe is from one of the sheets in the collection.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday…Jenny

Welcome to the blog today, Maja Fans 🙂

It’s been a while since I shared a layout here, so today I’m catching up 🙂 I don’t particularly like autumn as there seem to be more and more dull and rainy days, but sometimes it’s really wonderful (like today!), with last warm rays of sunshine caressing the cheeks and tons of colourful leaves falling…My boy on the other hand love autumn and especially our chestnut and leves hunting in the park 😉 And this is what this layout is about:

mdhautI used the Walking in the Forest collection that features all the colours from the photo. First I matted the photo with a couple of layers, adding a burlap pane as well:

mdhaut1Then I started filling the composition with cut-out elements – isn’t that owl great? 🙂 I also added tags with leaf-shaped eyelets that i’ve had for ages!

mdhaut2I added lots of leaves to relate the design to the photo, in which my boys compare their collections of leaves and chestnuts 🙂 I used paper, velvet and die-cut leaves by Prima:

mdhaut3I composed the title by die-cutting the word “hello” and adding letters I cut out from one of the papers:

mdhaut4Here are some more cut-out images:

mdhaut5I also hid some journaling in the envelope 🙂

mdhaut6Supplies:

Walking-in-the-forest-POther: flowers: Petaloo; leaves and dies: Prima; metal zipper: Prima; burlap panel: DCWV; eyelets: Eyelet Outlet.

And what’s autumn like in your countries? Is it warm and sunny or cold and rainy?

See you!

Hello Maja fans!  Gabrielle here with you today to share with you an Autumn Tag I made with the, oh so gorgeous, Walking in the Forest collection!  I don’t know how many of you know, but I recently came out with a couple of stamp sets, and for the first time I’ve used my water droplet stamps on a project!  I knew that the Maja papers would work nicely with my stamps because they have the perfect balance of simple backgrounds combined with beautiful print images.

Sometimes it’s easier to show how to do something than it is to explain.  So I took the time to tape a step by step video on how I put this tag design together.  Enjoy! ….

….I hope you enjoyed watching my tutorial as much as I enjoyed creating this project! Here are a few close-ups of my tag to view at a more leisurely pace.

I used a leaf stamp that is part of the water drop stamp collection I made.  I used it on some green Fika paper, cut it out, gave it a crinkle and added them to my floral cluster. The lacy doily behind the floral cluster is a die from Memory Box called ‘Quinn Flourish’.

Here is a close-up of the water droplets stamp design.  I use a little trick of adding some white highlights to the drops with a white gel pen to give them an extra sheen and even more of a 3D look.  The wood floral design is from Wycinanka and the butterfly embellishment is from The Kraft Nook.

Maja Design products papers used on this project:  Walking in the Forest (Fresh Air, Birch, Flannel Shirt), Ska vi ta en Fika (Blabarssylt).

I hope you enjoyed my project and video tutorial today and hope you will have yourself some fun with Maja’s ‘Walking in the Forest’ collection.  You can find my stamp sets at The Scrapbook Diaries!

Hello Maja lovelies! The air here in New Jersey is cooling down and I can see some signs of Fall already! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Fall, but summer is my favorite. That being said, I pulled out some Autumn themed papers and accoutrements, starting with Maja Design’s Walking in the Forest collection: MomentsRemembered090914MdAccompanying the papers are some Spellbinders Maple Leaf dies, wooden accents, twine, pearls and Copper Liquid pearls. My design is loosely based on this week’s Mojo Monday sketch.

This Saturday I’ll be visiting with you again…with a quite a few photos of my craft space. See you then…and enjoy the rest of your week! Andrea-sign
