Here they are, my two first pages in my family album!
Pff…it was challenging to make them so flat for I usually add lots of embellies and flowers on my projects but I’m happy with the results though!
This first two pager is with a photo of my mom and dad’s wedding photo.

Made these with the Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

Here is the left page:
For both pages I started with the No.XI for the background.
Added some texture with instant filler and a stencil.
The strips and the stamped tags are from No.XI, No.XII, NO.I .
The clocks were cut out from the No.XVI sheet.

All strips and tags were distressed.
Also added some masking tape and lace.
Doodled some white circles with a white pen as a finishing touch.

Close-ups from the papers strips masking tape and texture.

Papers used:

No.I, No.XI, No.XII, No.XVI

Enjoy your day!

Hello dear Friends,

not recently I have discovered a new passion – creating albums with bookbinding and today I have a Baby Boy Album to share with you that I have made using Vintage Summer Basics collection. I am so very happy that Marie created a new Baby collection, but before we haven’t had something special it was quite easy for me to create with any of Basics collection

BabyBoyAlbum_Cover_ElenaOlinevichI started making it almost 2 months ago, and made a photo after each page has been finished, so here they are:

BabyBoyAlbum_ElenaOlinevich1the second one:

BabyAlbumBoy_ElenaOlinevich4and the fifth one:

BabyBoyAlbum5_MainIt’s quite big, about 23,5* 25 cm, so it was not easy to take the shots.
But I wanted to show you all the secret pages inside so I made a video clip for you to watch all the details:

You can find a video here, om Maja YouTube channel:

I hope you have enjoyed watching it.

I used tons of Maja papers from Vintage Summer Basics as well as many of prima Marketing embellishments and dies.

Today I want to share this family album cover.
When my mom and dad passed away they left us lots of lovely and very precious photo’s.
I have scanned each and every one of them and burned them on CD’s for us kids and all the grandkids as a wonderful memory of their family heritage.
For a long time I wanted to put them in albums and finally I started my family album.
Planning to do lots of pages with photo’s from both sides of the family.
Would be quite challenging though, to make flat pages, but I give it a go!
To be continued! 🙂

Made this album with the Vintage Autumn collection.
For this album I used the following papers: No. II, V, X, XI, X, XVI and heritage sheet.
The book handle and key are from Scrap-Unlimited.

A rolled flower with No.V
The clock is from Artemio and the clock handles from Prima.

All the clocks were cut out from the XVI sheet. Just love this sheet!!

Can’t remember this metal family plate, it was in my stash for some time, but it was perfect for this project.

“Memories”, a piece from the bottom strip No.X

After layering all the strips of paper, I added some texture with instant filler and a stencil.

Also added some stamens and dew drops.

Enjoy your day!

A tertial calendar for 2015

Today I would like to share with you a calendar which I made for 2015, using ours kids school photos and the beautiful papers from Maja Design various collections. It is my first ever handmade calendar and I was a bit afraid that I will not have a patience to make a page for each month 😉  Instead I made a 4-pager – one page for each tertial (and each of our children) and one with the whole year overview.

I found a website where you can print out a year calendar in different formats. I printed one on a piece of Maja Design paper cut to a size A5. I decorated the corners with a collage of cut outs.

I composed each page in 2 parts- one plain, containing the calendar and the upper part decorated with photos and papers. The calendar is free-standing, mounted on a triangle cardstock base, so each page could get as much dimensional elements as I wanted.

As the bottom part is plain, I could pick almost any pattern to set the theme for the upper part. Many of MD collections have a paper with cut out elements which are perfect for the matting under the photos.

For the ‘boy’ page I created a fairytale scene with the houses of Nyhavn and the vintage baloons of Vintage Autumn Basics.

Products I used:
Nyhavn – Old townhouses, Strolling along the canal, Sitting at the dock
Vintage Autumn Basics – No II, No XVI, No XIV, Heritage
Vintage Summer Basics – 1922,
Vintage Frost – 22nd of December
Vintage Spring Basics – Days to remember
Coffee in the harbour- Flourishing garden
Crea Diem – Ord flyger bort

Other supplies: gesso, chipboard (BFS) , flowers

Thanks for stopping by, it was a long post so I hope you have enjoyed it 🙂
