Hello crafters. Today I have one more album to share with you. It seems that I dig in album making, huge, multilayered, with many extra secret pages and pockets, anyway I enjoy creating them, so I guess that I will be busy all summer long with preserving the memories in the albums.

VintageBabyGirl_sneak So I would suggest you to take a cup of coffe or tea and enjoy watching it. If you like you can skip all the photos, and jump in to video clip ( later in this post), but this brand new collection – Baby Vintage deserves to be stared on, as the everything in it is perfect. The texture of the papers, the images , the vintage patterns, so it is always difficult for me to say what collection I love most of all. This time is not an exception, but I do like it most of all

VintageBabyGirl_Elenaolinevich1(1)This time I started working with the papers for the girl. Yes, I do like the pink also.

img_9643The collection has several cards for journalling and also fussy cutting.

VintageBabyGirl_Elenaolinevich2(1)I made several extra pages inside as I wanted to showcase the papers – the backside too, they are too beautiful.

and these floral patterns are so pretty, I even have managed to find the almost similar fabric to make them a match.

Hello Maja Fans,

a very good morning to you from Maja 🙂

I bet you already saw our latest collection, Vintage Baby, and fell in love with it 🙂 And you know you can create the cutest baby projects with it, can’t you? Here are two welcome baby cards I made:

mdbabywAren’t those baby images just too adorable? 🙂 With four cut-out sheets in the collection you can make cards in no time! (well, not my case, I’m a really snail-slow crafter…). The cards share the same design (only mirrored) and traditional boy-girl colours. Here’s the baby girl card:

mdbabyw1As not everyone likes flowers in boy creations, I exchanged them for pom-poms. What would you use? 🙂

mdbabyw3For the upper parts of the background panels I used papers from the small paper pad, so that those sweet toy images are better visible. Just love them 🙂

mdbabyw2mdbabyw4I think Vintage Baby is one of the most beautiful baby collections I’ve ever seen and worked with 🙂

BUT

with all themed collections I always feel the temptation to use them for something a bit different. And that’s what I love about Maja Design collections – they are so versatile you can use them for just any project you like 🙂 And so I created a layout for a little older babies 😉

mdcherishAnd ? What do you think? 🙂 I think the papers are quite suitable for a cheefrul boy page too. For my layout I first added some pattern with a stencil and white gesso and distressed all the edges:

mdcherish1I matted the photo with several layers of papers and added my embellies:

mdcherish2mdcherish4I used Promarkers to colour the Pink Paislee Artisan word I used for my title:

mdcherish3And so, while I really love the baby imagery of the collection, I’m also happy it will suit any project actually 🙂

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Baby: Welcome little one, Adorable bs, Newborn, Cutie bs, New arrival, Special moment bs, First teddy bear bs, Precious, Precious bs, Die cuts, First teddy bear and Cherish from the small pad. Other: stamps: Technique Tuesday, Lemonade, Heidi Swapp; flowers: Prima, my stash; title word: Pink Paislee; dies: Spellbinders, Marianne Design, kraft clockfaces: Maya Road; ribbon, lace, pom-poms – my stash.

See you soon!

The baby’s sleeping gently under her soft blanket. She stirs a bit but continues sleeping while you are watching your very own miracle. The sheets are freshly laundred and carefully chosen for your baby. They are both new and unspoilt. The little bunny next to her is still wearing it’s bow where it’s supposed to be. Not long from now will it be torn and used. The magical days of a newborn is here.
Enjoy the baby’s first bath, nursery and all the other precious moments with our new Vintage Baby collection. The collection is an addition to the Vintage Basics collections and is drawn to match the series. It comes in 12×12 and 6×6, perfect for your babyalbums and cards.

Hello Maja Friends.

I have been really busy with making cards and gifts before Christmas, but a new baby arrived straight before Christmas Eve, and a friend of mine asked me to make an album for her and her parents. I have just 3 free evenings to create something and it was a really rough time for me, but I have managed to be ready almost in time.

so here it is a baby Girl album

I also made a video clip for you to see all the folded books inside as well as some close ups. But for those who is not able to watch it, I am posting the photos too

http://youtu.be/Tzk1XdwBEL0

BabyGirlAlbum_11aAlbum1bAlbumI have made several books and envelopes inside so that you can add  more photos than just one.

2Album_Elena2aAlbum_ElenaI used almost all the scraps and really enjoyed the cutting some if the pictures. I didn’t want it to be pink or too girly. so I used absolutely different colors for it

3Album_Elenaimg_7224I have never used so many buttons in one place

img_7225img_72273aAlbum_ElenaAll the secret extra pages you can watch in the video clip

Today I proudly present Maja Designs new baby: the “Gift for you” collection.
What better way to show this new ‘baby’ by altering this carriage!!!
Took me quite some time and lots of work but I’m very pleased how it turned out!
Lot of my work already found a new home but my girls insisted that I kept this one! 🙂

At first I started to paint the carriage as the original color was an ugly brown color.
Took me quite some layers of gesso to lighten it.
Can’t live without gesso! LOL

Added some turquoise touches so it matches my living room.
The base of the carriage was made using the ‘wrapped in old newspaper’ sheet.

Made the blanket with the ‘from someone special’ and ‘wrapped in old newspaper’ sheet.
The edges of the carriage is the border strip from the ‘ handwritten Post Card’ sheet.

The paper blanket with lace and a piece of a flower trim.
Added a small bear charm, isn’t he cute?!!

Painted the metal pieces of the carriage with some metal paint.

The front side.
Punched some flowers from the ‘wrapped in old newspaper’ sheet.
Distressed the edges and glued them on both sides.

A lovely bow of turquoise ribbon on the back.

Took me some time to make the top of the carriage.
Cut out some small strips of the ‘hope to see you soon’ sheet and distressed all the edges.
Some inking on the sides to get an older look.

Added some beautiful lace on the small strips.

A lovely flower accent on the top.

The wheels were also painted with the metal paint.

Although this is a Chrismas collection, these papers can be used for non-traditional projects as well!!

Papers used:
Hope to see you soon
Wrapped in old newspaper
Handwritten Post Card
From someone special

Enjoy your day!
