Hello all Maja Fans!

I hope you are having a wonderful day 🙂 I’m so thrilled to publish my first post as a Maja Design Creative Team member! It’s been almost a year since I visited here as a special guest and I’m really happy to be back to the Maja family to be a part of this wonderful 2014 team!

And for the easy start, let me share a bunch of cards 🙂 But first I must apologize for the quality of photos – we’re having very bad weather in Poland and there’s just no light to take decent photos. But let’s not feel down in the mouth!

I created the cards using mostly the Vintage Frost Basics collection, as I immediately fell in love with it once I opened my CT box 😉 And so, the first card I made was a Christmas Angels’ Glory:

mdgloriaI used the post card image from the Christmas Die-cuts sheet and made it the focal point of the card, adding a post stamp, clay angels, vintage ribbon and mini jingle bells:

mdgloria2For finishing touches, I added some puffy “snow” and glittery “frost” here and there, and liquid pearls snowflakes 🙂 I really love how it turned out, the wintery vintage look and quiet sound of little bells really made for the festive atmosphere 🙂

Supplies:

Maja Desing Vintage Frost Basics: 1st of December, 6th of December, 22nd of December, Christmas die-cuts

Other: die (Spellbinders), snow marker (Marvy Uchida), clay angels (Melissa Frances), stickers (7 Dots Studio), punch (Martha Stewart), Frantage embossing powder (Stampendous), Stickles glitter glue (Ranger), Liquid Pearls (Ranger).

In a week’s time we’re going to celebrate the Granmother’s and Granfather’s Days in Poland. And so I created a card for this occassion, featuring an old couple stamp that I coloured with Distress inks.

mdbdAs the image is quite big and takes most of the card’s space, I chose the patterns that would be clearly visible even in a small amount (not to mention how I love stripes and plaids LOL!). I die-cut a little tag for the sentiment and decorated it with mini-roses. I mounted the particular layers on 3D dots and inserted some cheesecloth in between:

mdbd1I also employed a little trick here: as the daisies that mat the roses are only little visible, I actually cut two flowers in halves and thus saved two more! (is it only me saving each small piece if possible? hm…)

mdbd2Supplies:

Maja Design Vintage Frost Basics: 16th of December, 22nd of December, 22nd of Decmeber bs.

Other: stamps (Penny Black, Lemonade), Stickles glitter glue (Ranger), Distress inks (Ranger), die (Spellbinders).

And finally a set of baby welcome cards: I was organising my dies drawer last weekend and dug out those cute baby clothes 🙂 Naturally, I made a boy and girl cards immediately!

mdcloFor the girl’s card I used the lovely pink Vichy plaid pattern for the background – even though it shows very little, the design is still visible a the plaid is so small – love it! I die cut the clothes and “hung” them up on linen string with buttons:

mdclo1I went for the same design with the boy’s card, but using the traditional blues for this version:

mdclo2The design is very simple, so I mounted all layers on 3D dots and distressed all the edges – I love dimension in all my creations 🙂 For the final touch I used some liquid pearls to add buttons and dots in the background.

Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Girl’s card: Vintage Frost Basics –  4th of December, 6th of December bs, It’s Christmas Time – Snowflakes bs, Vintage Summer Basics – 1946.

Boy’s card: Vintage Frost Basics – 13th f December bs, 11th of December, 22nd of December, Vintage Summer Basics – 1946.

Other: dies (Cottage Cutz), stamps (Lemonade), Liquid Pearls (Ranger). Buttons, twine – from my stash.

That’s all for today, have a nice afternoon and see you again soon!

Card_Days to Remember

Hi everyone!  Gabrielle here with you today.  We just got back from a little mini-vacay visiting my brother and his family at his lake house, so nice to spend a week just relaxing and having fun with family!  But I realized I have a post I needed to get done for Maja, speedy-fast!  So I thought, what better time of year to show that not all projects done with Maja goodies need to be overly detailed or time consuming.  This card came together quick and easy.

I used a scrap of pink paper I had left over from another project from the Sofiero collection as my background, lightly inked and distressed the edges and tore a little ‘V” having some of the rose paper peeking out from behind (I simply used a cut off strip from the title part of the paper for this).  I then cut out 2 little ‘postcard’ designs from one fo the Vintage Spring Basics papers and added a clock from a Vintage Autumn Basics paper as an embellishment.  Here are the papers I used for this card….

Memories

I used these Maja Design products:  Sofiero-Enjoying the Fragrance-bs, Vintage Autumn Basics-XVI, Vintage Summer Basics-Memories.

TIP:  I like to save the little strips you cut off from the bottoms of the pages to use on cards, they have great little phrases and designs!

So, how long did this card take me?  15 minutes!!  Yep, even during the holidays you can get a little scrapping on if you can just cut out a tiny bit of time for yourself!  Thanks for stopping by today and I just want to say I’ve so enjoyed being on the Maja Design team for this past year and look forward to sharing lots of new and fun ideas with you all over the next year! xo xo

Hi there! It is me Camilla again, with some Christmas Cards this time. The weeks go by so fast , especially with a little baby to take care of.

Anyway, in todays post you will see that all three cards are made with the Vintage Autumn Basics papers! But I still think they have the Christmas feeling.052

The text (transl. “Christmas hug”) is written on my computer and printed out. All paper edges are inked with Walnut Stain and sewed. I have also added some cheese cloth, a lace, a heart doily, string and a rein deer charm. The card is made with a GoKreate die.

For my next card, which goes in green and blue colours, I have used the papers No VIII bs, No XII, No X.

Hi there Maja-fans! This post will be all about our son’s invites for his baptism. Here are the cards I made for our guests. I have used the beautiful papers mainly from the Sofiero collection, but also added some from the Vintage Spring Basics collection.

065
The photo is taken in our bedroom where I had a little photo shoot of Maximilian when he was only two weeks old. I put his lambskin in a small basket, and placed him inside the basket. He uses this lambskin to sleep on. It is so soft and cozy.

078

The tag is made with a die from Magnolia called So Wrapped Lovely. I have used the paper called The elegant Wine house -bs (Sofiero). On several of the cards I have also used the paper Princess Margareta’s Garden (Sofiero). And they all have the base with the paper The magnificent Flowerstreet -bs.
026
The small butterfly on the pennant is cut out from the paper 7th of March (Vintage Spring Basics). The pennent is also cut out of the same paper.
I have inked the edges with Walnut Stain (Distress Inkpad), and added some Stickles-Stardust on the tip of the wings. The blue ribbon is a Seem Binding ribbon which I have coloured with a mix of Distress Ink, re-inkers (drops with Weathered Wood, Faded Jeans and some water.)
050
Here is another close up.

For the castle I have also used the paper 7th of March (Vintage Spring Basics). I have added Frantage on the edges. The roof is made of black bazzill (Raven), with Stickles- Star Dust and some Frantage-Shabby Blue on.
041

Some flowers, buds and a pin. All from Wild Orchid Crafts. The swirl is made with the die Heart Swirl from Magnolia.

Here you can see the simple back.

035Hi there! Today I am back with a wedding card. I have used the beautiful blue and beige papers from the Vintage Spring Basic collection. And put them on a paperbag. The actually card to write the greeting on is inside the paperbag. I will show you later in this post. But first some details.
062
The lovely image (Wedding Tilda from Magnolia) is coloured with Distress Inks – re-inkers. And I have also used some Markers to colour the shadows around her (Weathered Wood, Pumice Stone and Antique Linen). For her dress I have used Tattered Rose and Walnut Stain. 018     The gorgeous flowers are from I am roses. I have added some Crackle Paint-Picket Fence on to them, and also attached a key-charm. The flower berries are from Kort & Godt, and the small roses (15 mm) are from WOC. The lace and buds are also from Kort & Godt.  022   On the heart tag I have fasten some seem binding ribbons that I have coloured myself. I mix water and Distress Ink – re-inkers, and spray it on the seem binding ribbon. Curl it up and let it dry. Then they get this old beautiful look.   052
On the actually card inside the paperbag I have stamped a mini Wedding Tilda. The swirls and the sentiment are from Stempelglede. I have used the brown Ink pad Memento – Rich Cocoa.   058
The dies I have used are from Spellbinders and Magnolia. The post stamp around the image and on the Lovely Fence is from Kort & Godt.038
I am still waiting for my baby to come. It is now two weeks untill he is expected! I am enjoying the days, and am so grateful that I can spend so much time colouring images and making cards, which I love! Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design Blog, and be sure to be back every day for more lovely creations with the amazing papers!
Papers used: 5th of May (bs), 6th of May, 8th of March, 7th of April (both sides).Camilla-sign
