Hello Maja fans!

Today, I would like to share a new layout made for my September inspiration using papers from the gorgeous ”Enjoying Outdoors” collection. As usual, I’ve also used 49 and Market flowers, Dusty Attic chipboard and Finnabair moulds to embellish my page and achieve a romantic and elegant feeling.

As always, I found my photo on Pinterest and before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I used the back side of the ”Beautiful Trees” paper and made several layers with torn pieces of the ”Having Tea in the Sun” paper on the background. I also used the back side of the same paper to mat my photo. To start, I applied a coat of clear gesso and then, I created texture with the Finnabair White Gold icing paste and a stencil. When the paste dried, I used the Lindy’s Stamp Gang Edelweiss Moss Green and Greased Lightnin’ Green sprays to add color.

Next, I applied paper paste on the chipboards to make them textured and painted them with the Finnabair Golden Moss acrylic paint.

Then, I layered all the gorgeous elements around my photo and added in some 49 and Market flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Until next time happy crafting!

Hello Maja fans and welcome to the blog!

It’s Mary here with you today! I would like to share a new layout I made with papers from two collections… ”Enjoying outdoors” and ”Vintage Summer Basics”.

Layout

When I found that beautiful photo on Pinterest I decided to use it for my new layout… It’s so mysterious and so magical at the same time and I couldn’t resist! Of course, I want to give all the proper credits to the photographer.

Close up 1

The green paper is the ”Beautiful trees” from the ”Enjoying outdoors” and the brown is the ”Minnen” from the ”Vintage Summer Basics” collections. I tore the brown one in the middle and glued it on the green paper. Have I ever tell you how much I love to tear and distress those papers? They look amazingly gorgeous that way!

Close up 2

I made my background by using modeling paste and a stencil over a coat of clear gesso. All the mediums I used are Finnabair’s. This time, I prefered to play with magical powders (Red Hot Poker Orange, Cowbunga Copper and Cattail Copper Brown) from Lindy’s Stamp Gang to color my page. I made my own mist with ”Ponderosa Pines Olive” magical and misted the 2crafty chipboards.

Close up 3

I made my clusters with Prima Marketing flowers and I added some ”Scrap Unlimited” embellishments to accomplish them.

Close up 4

Some splatters with white gesso, microbeads in ”copper” to match with the earth colors and a few gems to finish my layout.

Today..

Hello Maja fans, welcome to the blog. Today I have a layout to share with you that I have created using some papers from the “Enjoying Outdoors” collection.

today 2

For the main background I have used the “Beautiful Trees” paper from that collection. Such a lovely shade of earthy green, my favourite colour. 🙂

All of the chipboard I have used is from 2Crafty Chipboard.

Today 3

I cut a tag out of the “Tags & Journalling” paper, also from the same collection too & popped it in among my layers.  I have also used lots of gorgeous flowers too.

Today 4

If you look close you will see I have actually scrunched the paper a little, I wet it under the tap, scrunched it up like this & then dried it off. Wetting it just makes it easier to do this technique. When dry I also distressed the edges a little as well. It just creates a nice textural element to the layout I think.

Today 5

After doing that I then stuck it to a piece of the “Woodlands” paper, from the same collection. I think the stripe makes such a nice contrast. I also used some of the “Woodlands” stripe behind the photo too.

Today 6

I have listed the papers used below. Hope this helps you.

The one on the left is the “Woodlands” paper, the middle one is the “Beautiful Trees” paper & the one on the right is the “Tags & Journalling Cards”. These are all from the Enjoying Outdoors collection.

Until next time.

Di Garling

Hi my name is Di Garling. I am married to a very patient man, I have two grown up sons, two grandchildren & a little dog. I owned & operated a Scrapbook shop for eight years here in Australia until I recently sold it & retired. I think retirement is the best kept secret. I love it, it gives me lots of time to enjoy my craft. I still teach scrapbooking & cardmaking once or twice a week, so all in all I am as busy as ever & wouldn't have it any other way.
