Hi there Maja fans! I hope you all are fine in this unsurreal times. The corona virus has hit Norway hard, but also the rest of the world. I am thinking of card making friends in Italy and Spain now. I hope you are all alright. I am isolating myself at home mostly of the time, as I am lucky to be able to have a home office. For today I have a heart shaped card to show you. I did the colouring with Distresses some time ago, but have put it together the last days. I hope you like it, and know that my heart is with you.

The papers used are from the lovely Little Street Cafe Collection. I will show you which ones at the end of this post.

The image and dies used are from Magnolia. Also the heart die I have used to make the shape of the card.

I have also used the Maja papers to make the flowers. They are cut out with dies, and put together to a beautiful Maja flower.

Under is a close up of more Maja flowers.

Here are the papers used:

Take care everyone!

With love,

Hi everyone! Here I am with a Valentine card for you. To share some love. I hope you all are fine. Here in Norway it is still raining, but then again it is cozy to spend some time in the crafting room.

For my card I have used papers from the lovely collection Little Street Cafe. Perfect for any romantic card.

Dies and stamps are from Magnolia.

I have cut out the flowers, and sprayed them with water, curled them up, and let them to dry. Then they get this crispy look. I have also painted them with some white Gesso paint.

Behind the image I have placed some corrugated paper and cheese cloth.

I love to use MajaDesign papers, as they are thick and the colours matches the Distress Ink colours I use for my painting.

Thank you so much for visiting the MajaDesign blog today!

With love,

You have the key to my heart

Hi everyone! How are you? I am back with a sweet little Valentine card, using the wonderful papers from the Little Street Café papers. I have mostly used the ones in yellow tones. Sooo beautiful papers. I will show you at the end of this post. If you can’t wait just scroll down!

When you get this collection of papers, they look really colourful. With bright colours. But as you might have noticed, I like to tone it down a bit. And to use softer colours. That is of course possible with this collection too. The yellow and pink papers are not too bright, and I use my white gesso, and paint here and there. The gesso is lovely to use, as it is a see-through-colour.

As you can see the girl (Tilda from Magnolia) on the image is holding a lock, I had to add a key to the card. I have glued it on to the beautiful rose from Wild Orchid Craft.

I have hand painted the image, with Distress Ink re-inkers and some Markers. It is a kind of water colour, and I use water colour papers to stamp on. I stamp with a brown colour from Memento, called Rich Cocoa. I have to let it dry for a bit before I start colouring. But I like the softer look you get using brown ink, instead of black. Archival ink is also a brand that is good to use.

Hi everyone! Finally I finished this card. It has been laying on my craft desk for ages… But now I manage to finish is, I hate to have something half done. But anyways, I have had the pleasure to put my fingers on this gorgeous collection from MajaDesign. It is just amazing!

As usual I colour my images with Distress Inks, re-inkers and Markers. And I think the Maja papers fits the distress colours so well!

The dies and image are from Magnolia. And I have added some Fran-tage around the image. I also put some white gesso on the papers and flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my little post, even if it was a bit short today. And late… But it is soon weekend, and I look so forward to it!! Wish you all a very happy weekend to come! And thank you so much for visiting the MajaDesign blog today.

With love,

Under my umbrella

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year to you all! I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Here in Norway we have been focusing about mental health and that we should all care about the people around us. Say hi to someone you don’t usually speak to, go visit someone you haven’t been to lately, and just take the time to see other people. Our king had a great speak to all Norwegians on New Years eve, amongst other things that life is fragile and that trust is important. But to my card. Here I have used lovely papers from what I think must be my favourite collection, the Summertime collection.

Here is Tilda on a rainy day. I have used Distress Ink for my colouring. And I have used Magnolia dies to cut out all the parts with gorgeous papers from the Summertime collection. At the end of the post I have also added some creations with the new papers from the Little Street Cafe.

I have added some spots around the image with Frantage and Liquid pearls. And I have also painted with white Gesso on the papers and flowers.

Here is also some cheese cloth behind the image.

Remember to take care of each other.

Here are some creations with the Little Street Cafe papers. I hope you like them!

A decorated paper bag.

A small pop up card.

A folder card.

A book card.

I am so grateful to be on these team, and to be able to play with all the most beautiful papers in the world! I wish you all a good weekend when it comes. Take care!

With love,
