Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. I have made the mini album on thick tags ( I have used the tim holt sizzix die for making the tags and cutting the papers from the great Denim and Friends collection).

For now I have put the pictures from the die cut sheet in the album, but they are not sticked and can be easily replaced by the real photos.

as always, I prefer to use kraft/black accents in my masculine projects. And this collection was also calling for deep blue shades.  aren’t these pictures the cutest? they also come in the paper pads.  some close ups:  also all type of stars look great on the men voted projects, and if you find (or just color the hearts in black) even they will look appropriate here:)

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I have recently had the pleasure of making a sweet birthday card for a sweet girl.

I used mostly Denim & Friends papers as they matched the colours from the photo most perfectly. I added just a touch of the Vintage Summer pink in the background:

I have die-cut the embellishments from the papers, such as the cute heart banners and the number flag:

I stamped the cute beart with a heart, coloured it and paper-pieced the heart using a scrap of the Vintage Romance heart-patterned paper. I then added a small letter “O” for the girl’s name:

I also added plaid ribbon and some mini flowers and cute white pom-poms as the finishing touch.

And I think the card symbolises the 9-year-old girls quite accurately: still cute, but not too much 😉 What do you think?

Here are my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Design, Craft Passion; stamp: ScrapBerry’s; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; ribbon: Rayher, pom-poms: my stash.

Before I bid you goodbye, I’d like to wish you a joyous Easter filled with the warmth of love and kindness 🙂

See you soon!

Together

Good morning, dear Visitors, welcome to the Maja Design blog 🙂

After a series of projects I created with the latest Celebration collection I return to one of my all-time favourites, Denim & Friends. I just love the colours and patterns of these papers! And here’s the layout I made:

The design of the page is my version of the clean&simple style 😉 I didn’t want to cover the beautiful background paper too much, so I matted the photo with just a couple of tags and a flower cluster mounted on a chipboard clock face:

I also decorated the paper with some stamping and a delicate brick pattern that I added with a stencil and modeling paste. The art clay angel wing adds some lightness to the darker colours:

I die-cut the layout title from the brown Monochromes set matching the collection – I’m so happy Maja started to release the plain papers sets, they save the pain of sacrificing beautiful patterned papers for matting and small elements 😀

Though it’s not the classic clean&simple page, I still like the way it turned out – light and fresh 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s the list of supplies I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Kesi’art; stamp: My Favourite Things; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; stencil: Tim Holtz; chipboard: Wycinanka, button: Lemoncraft; wing mold: Prosvet.

Thank you for visiting today and see you later 🙂

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new layout featuring the Celebration collection.

Road Trip by Pascale B.

I primed the background with clear gesso. Next, I mixed some white crackle paste with a brown Magical. I used this paste to add a design with a stencil.

While the crackle paste was drying, I colored chipboards (the foliage and the flowers ) with different inks. I embossed the middle of the Spring Flowers to add some texture. I waxed the screws with a rose gold wax.

I also colored some flowers and vines with a brown ink.

The background dry, I added some colors with the same inks I used to color the chipboards as well as a blue Magical.

When happy with the result, I added some random stamping with tw8 stamps and two Archival inks. Next, I cut a few papers to add under the photo and I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel.

To finish the layout I added some microbeads.

Hi Everyone,

Its Keren here and I created a layout for Maja Design using the new Denim & Friends collection. I used the “Worn Indigo” paper as the background for the layout as as well as the “No XXI” from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection which really go well together.

I used the blue toned papers from these collections as I wanted to mimic the colors in my picture.

I framed the photo with a chipboard frame which I colored in blue to match the layout and then I added matching blue flowers as well.

I incorporated some gold into the layout because I love the combination of blue and gold.

Here are the papers I used from both collection:
