Hello Maja Friends,

I do like watercoloring. I ‘ve used to practice it a lot when I was a child. I wish I could do it more often now.

But I found how I can combine scrapbooking and watercoloring

When I saw new Maja collection – Monochromes, I thought it is a good chance to work more thoroughly on your background. But then I forgot about it, and only after I almost finished my layout, I ‘ve realized that I’ve missed something. and I started sketching and drawing with a brush.

I have told many times that I love Maja papers as they reflect my favorite colors, and I guess that this color combo is the most natural for me. So first I wanted to keep it’s monochromatic look and played mostly with pink tones.

I also made some fussy cutting from the Vintage Romance papers. Normally I don’t like roses as the flowers, but this time I cut out several of them

However my drawing was not about the roses

It was fun creating the background, I think I need more practice .

Hello Maja Friends,

I guess some of you are busy with Easter preparations, however I would like to share with you my passion for Shabby cards.

Today I’ve got the cards that I made for some of my classes.

I have already told that the Basics collections are my favorites ones, as they are so versatile and you can use them for any type of project mostly.

and of course, shabby style is something that is quite easy to create with them.

But Vintage Summer Basics is the collection that I come back to over and over again.

All you need is to add flowers , lace and chipboard – and here you’ve got a feminine soft card.

One more card that I made using the same collection but added more warm colors

I really enjoy creating cards with Maja papers and what about you?

Summer Collection for Cards by Elena Olinevich for Maja Design_1

I enjoy making cards with in blue tones.  But I have already used so many times Vintage Basics collection, so that I decided to try something new.

Maja Design has so many awesome collections, but I have to cinfess that I have never crafted with the Sommartider collection

It’s quite an old one, however I thought it’s great for summer – beach -vacations ptojects, but now I see it can be used almost for any kind .

I took those papers, that have a beautiful vintage floral background and created a couple of cards, just changing the papers for any other layer.

It’s great to mix them together and I like the result it has brought.

I also tried to find the new flowers composition. Sometimes the sqaure shape makes it challenging for me.

I also changes the center of the cards – the ovel and teh circle, and it makes a difference too.

Good morning, Maja Friends.

Not recently I’ve found the pictures I’ve made late spring . I realized I can not wait when the warmth will come for a long time. I miss those small shadows from the sun, the small leaves on the trees and the birds’ singing. So much.

So I decided to create a very light, simple Layout full of air.

Spring Layout by Elena Olinevich product by Maja Design

I didn’t want to make it busy with the embellishments, so I only added some paper layers using the die cuts and a few flowers.

Spring Layout with Maja Design and Spellbinders

It was so easy to do and to keep the shabby feeling.

I didn’t want to give it bright colors, I like such moderate and translucent view. so I chose Vintage Romance collection

This time I decided to use the stip at the paper, that each Maja Design paper sheet has You may think it’s mostly a leftover or apiece to use for your sentiment, however I didn’t cut off it and kept it at the bottom of all my 3 cards.

I’m sure it adds the delicacy to the cards as well as makes the background different.
