Greetings friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a summer card fresh from the Maja Design berry patch (or my scrap table).

This card was created using the Everyday Life collection and coordinating Monochrome collection, “Shades of Everyday Life“.  This collection has quickly become a favorite of mine for it’s versatility.  I have used this for Christmas cards, patriotic cards and now a fun, fresh summer card.

Here are some of the sheets used for this card:  Gardening (both A and B sides) and Coffee Break (both A and B sides of paper).

Welcome friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a shaker card made with Maja Design’s Everyday Life Collection.  This is a wonderful collection filled with warm summer/autumn images and colors.

Today I have a shake card in an “Americana” style, which simply means a shabby chic patriotic style featuring the American Flag.  While Maja Design is a Swedish company, we LOVE Maja Design in the U.S. and all around the world!    My point is to show how a little imagination can transform the papers to meet your particular needs.

Hope, Believe, Cherish!

Here are the individual papers used from the collection: Hugs & Kisses (both A and B sides), Indoors 2, Home Sweet Home (both A and B side), Art Journaling.

Below is a simple image of how easy this was to create.

I made the base card, then cut out the square to be used for the shaker.  The tulle netting will be the window for the shaker.  Yep, tulle netting is great to use for simple, quick shakers because it has “slack” or allows for space to let shaker mix move freely.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of tulle netting big enough to wrap around the paper square.

2. Wrap the tulle around the paper square like a present,  then secure the netting on the back with double sided tape – leave one side open for filling.

3. Fill with fun shaker mix  ( I used Crystalz from Buttons Galore and More) and make sure all sides are glued/taped down so mix doesn’t spill out.

I finished off the card with a 3D shooting star button from Buttons Galore, and also with some of the journaling words  cut from the fabulous Journaling Sheet in the collection.  See the image below.  Isn’t that a cool sheet for so many uses.

Thanks for stopping here.  Happy crafting.

 Hi there lovely friends,

Welcome to the blog today for this post I made two cards with some amazing 2Crafty Chipboard pieces. I made them in two different shades one in teal/aqua and the other one in darkpink/licht pink. For these cards I have used two collections of Maja Design papers.

My/Your Daydream:

I treated the chipboard with flat fabio’s {danny zuko’s denim} twice and then I used three different waxes on them and cut them in two parts to place them in my flower cluster after they where all dried up. In the end I used some nuvo crystal drops on the circles. The Cards are made out of three layers that I distressed around the edges.

On the background of my layers I added a stencil and some spray.

Thank you so much for your visit today. And I sure hope that I have inspired you to take out your lovely Maja Design papers and create and have fun while doing so. Have a blessed & sunny weekend!

Hugs

Hello Maja Design Friends.  This is Jennifer Snyder sharing Christmas in July created by pairing papers from two different Maja Design collections – Everyday Life and Bohemian Harmony.

It’s true both collections are not holiday themed, but that is the brilliance of Maja Design papers.  They are very versatile.  Here are the sheets used today:

EveryDay Life Collection “Off to Work”  paired with a sheet from the Bohemian Harmony collection, “Show gratitude”.

The die set is from Spellbinders and is a new release to celebrate Christmas in July.  I love the rustic feel from the Maja Design papers.

Happy Summer – stay cool and crafty,  friends.

Good morning, Maja Friends, and welcome to the blog today! 🙂

Summer is traditionally the peak of the wedding season and therefore wedding cards and boxes are always  under construction on my desk 😀 Today I bring you one such box I made using the beautiful Everyday Life collection:

I selected pastel papers for the walls and lid, and also added embossed stripes of paper for more texture – don’t they look great?

On the lid I placed a cluster of flowers in matching colours that surround a stamped and heat-embossed sentiment. The leaves are die-cut from the Monochromes green papers:

For the inner walls of the box I chose the beautiful pastel beige leaves pattern, so perfect for the background! I added pockets for putting money into and also a panel for writing in short wishes:

Instead of the usual chipboard cake I put into my wedding boxes, I added a cute bridge with the newlywed couple on it and decorated the scene with mini roses and die-cut leaves:

I’m really happy with the result, the box turned out bright and elegant with pastel colours and pops of bold red both in the paper pattern and the flowers 🙂

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Anemone; dies: Spellbinders, Magnolia, CreaLies; stamp: Lemonade.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!
