Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

On January 21st and 22nd we celebrate Grandparents Days in Poland. Any kid blessed with grandparents knows how much they mean for them, and especially in Poland grandparents are often very much involved in upbringing of the young generation, looking over grandchildren when parents go to work. There’s no gift that would equal they amount of love and care grandparents share with their families, but I’m sure anything handmade would be of great value for them ๐Ÿ™‚ And so for this incoming celebration I created a set of chocolate boxes:

I made the boxes using the Bohemian Harmony collection, perfect for both feminine and masculine projects, with this trendy eco boho vibe to them ๐Ÿ™‚ For the Grandma box I used the flower bouquet patterned paper that provided beautiful background for the hearts pattern I added with a stencil, the flower cluster and embossed sentiment:

I decorated the box for Grandpa with gears pattern upon the striped pattern paper, the flower cluster with newspaper print and metal leaves to make it look more masculine ๐Ÿ™‚ linen string and matte gold sequins:

Inside the boxes, apart from the chocolate pocket, I included tags for writing in wishes:

I really like the way these turned out, serving both and gift packaging and best wishes cards ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Petaloo; leaves: Prima, my stash; stamps, stencils, chipboard: Agateria; ribbon: Rayher; string, sequins: my stash.

Wishing all the best to all Grandparents around the world – that’s all for today, see you later!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

New year, new beginnings, they say ๐Ÿ™‚ So for my first post in the new year I bring you a first project I made using the brand new collection, Little Street Cafe. I fell in love with this collection the very moment I opened my DT box – what a treat! One of the more vibrant colour palettes in the Maja stock, with juicy yellows and oranges paired with deep burgundy and sand beige, and all while keeping the classic vintage Maja style with its charasteristic plaids, stripes and flower designs. And don’t forget the ephemera sheet! Soo beautiful! I already have some ideas for this collection, but today I bring you a card for grandparents, as is Poland we’re going to celebrate Grandma’s Day on January 21st and Grandpa’s Day the next day.

I must admit I had difficulties choosing the papers for my first project, as all are equally tempting ๐Ÿ˜‰ but eventually I decided upon on of the plaids and flower patterns for the backgound. For the top layer I cut out a panel with a street view – so perfect for the stamped image I chose for my focal element:

I added stamped sentiments and an acrylic heart that also matches the papers’ colours:

The flower pattern on the background paper gave me the idea for the mini roses cluster I added in the lower corners:

The card turned out slightly too dimensional to go into an envelope, so I added a card box too:

I really love how this card turned out, with its vibrant colours and beautiful paper patterns!

Here’s my supply list:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Penny Black, Lemonade; dies: CreaLies; chipboard: Scrapiniec; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; markers: Kuretake.

Do you celebrate Grandparent’s Day/s in your countries?

See you soon!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

I think grandparents are second important people in a child’s life, right after parents. In Poland it is common that retired grandparents take care of their grandchildren when the parents are at work. And so they play a very important role in kids’ life, helping to raise them and spending a lot of time with them. And I think grandparents so much deserve a special celebration! And so in January we celebrate Grandmother’s Day on the 21st and Grandfather’s Day on the 22nd. For that occasion I made two cards:

I used the Denim & Friends collection for both cards. For the card for grandma I used the turqouise hues of the collection, using also some Monochromes sheets.

I used a humorous carved chipboard pieces for my cards, and I decorated them adding a bit of colour and some glitter. Then I put each piece against a background of layered papers:

I also added a flower cluster and some pearl brads to the grandma’s card:

In the card for grandpa, I opted for the brown-navy blue palette:

I added screw-like brads and a star charm tied on plaid-patterned ribbon:

I think grandparents would appreciate hand-made cards from their grandchildren more than anything money can buy ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade; chipboard pieces: Egocraft; brads: Craftmania, Rayher; dies: Rosy Owl, Spellinders; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Lemoncraft; crystal gems: Prima; ribbon: my stash.

And that is all for today – see you soon!
