Hello scrappy friends!

What can be better as a big cup of hot chocolate in this cold season?!

I was inspired to create a vintage layout to my favourite theme – Chocolate –

because ”She doesn’t ask silly questions, chocolate understands” 😉

Suitable to this theme I used the paper collection ‘Fika’, here can you find some wonderful shades of brown papers

in combination with the right motifs as cups, muffins, teapots and much more

I used the papers ‘KĂ€rleksmums’, ‘Chokladmuffins’and ‘Kaffe tack! ‘

some close up’s

other used products:

Stencils: Stampers Anonymous, Chipboards: Dusty Attic

Stamps: 49and Market, Cutting dies,

laces, embellishments, Art Stones, straws, wooden letters

I hope I could inspire you to try some new themes.

What’s your favourite?

Thanks for your visit!

Welcome!

February has begun, it’s still winter time.

In my last layout were the beautiful pages of the winter to discover, a magical dreamy castle like from a storybook.

The everyday life has got us again and unfortunately is it too often dark, gray and gloomy.

But if the sun manages to make its way through the thick clouds, a hint of spring is already noticeable.

Today I want to introduce you to a slightly different mixed media layout.

It shows a city silhouette in background in shades of grey, because I wanted a grungy look.

I used a monochrome paper from the latest paper collection, it’s a beautiful blue tone and always suitable for a winter mood.

I’m a big fan of this neutral monochrome paper collections, because I always like to go with my intuition, you have such a lot of possibilities to create your very own idea.

some details

some chipboards painted with rust colors

a small cabochon in the middle of a gear chipboard

Together with a small photo ‘Love the Sun’,

I use only a part from a die cut as shining sun.

Don’t give up because this winter also comes to an end, hopefully soon!!

used Maja Design papers:

Other products used: Cutting dies, Dusty Attic Chipboards, Embossing powder, Stencils, Gesso (white, black + clear), Rust acrylic colours, Deco-Granules, Cabochon, Silver Metallic Paint

Many thanks for your visit!

Have a beautiful time!

Magic Winter Time

Welcome friends!

Recently we have made a beautiful winter trip in the mountains ‘Harz’.

Snow and ice magically transformed the landscape into a winter fairy tale.

… and then we discovered a beautiful castle that looks like

it was torn right from the pages of a storybook.

I choose for my mixed media layout the ”Sparkle” paper from the Maja Design ”Joyous Winterdays” collection.

I started as always by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background and then I cut out a handmade half moon from a white structure paper. I painted the moon with some watercolors and a little bit glitter paint and some deco stars for a magical effect.

It was a good background for a Dusty Attic chipboard and some winter trees made with cutting dies.

and  some another close up’s

a small cluster in the upper left corner

snow texture and glitter paints for some dreamy winter impressions

another bigger cluster made with frosted roses, silver winter berries, feathers and laces

I framed the cut out photo with a chipboard and used the moon as magical background.

I colored the flourish frame with white acrylic paint only on some places and white embossing powder to match to a wintry layout.

a wooden tree disc, snow paint and some paper leftovers

and a beautiful saying on a tag as addition and memory on a wonderful day

used Maja Design papers from the ‘Joyous Winterdays’ collection

Many thanks for your visit and I hope I could inspire you to create your very own, amazing idea.

Happy crafting!

Hello dear friends!

Mary with you today and I have a new layout with a video tutorial to share with you. I made it for my January inspiration using papers from the gorgeous ”Denim & Friends” colection and some of my favorite chipboards which I placed around a beautiful photo I found on Pinterest.

When I saw it I knew I had to scrap it and the Maja Design papers along with The Dusty Attic chipboards were just perfect for it. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

You can watch all the procedure here…

And here are some close ups…

I choose for my page the ”Worn Indigo” paper from the Maja Design ”Denim & Friends” collection. I started by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background and then I created texture with modeling paste and a stencil.

Made some stamping here and there and used a Lindy’s Gang spray to add color.

Next, I painted all the Dusty Attic chipboards with Finnabair acrylic paints.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass beads. The final touch was made with some splatters with white acrylic ink.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Thank you for stopping by!

Welcome!

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout to a very essential thing of my life.

Coffee the most important meal of my day, nothing works without it.
Sure, you know it too.

It’s a very good mood maker in the morning, my daily needed vitamin drink ;-).

A friend says, yes, that layout is the right new wall decoration for my kitchen.

Why not, only the right picture frame is missing.

I used some Maja papers from the Fika Collection

some details

.. hmm, it smells like coffee 🙂

… and so that the whole thing gets a little flavor,

I have also processed real coffee powder

Of course, some origin coffee beans shouldn’t be missing, or?!

Duty calls – tell her, I’ll call you back!

 😉 🙂 😉

 Thanks for your visit!

Have a good time!
