Hello sweet Maja fans.

Lenet here , today it’s my turn to bring you some inspiration.

Today I have this Christmas card for you made with the wonderful Christmas collection Joyous winterdays and Monochromes- Shades of Winterdays.

For the card topper / centerpiece I made a rosette  using the Tim Holtz minipaper rosettes die.

I used a a 1.5″ circle puch for  the Santa picture , it comes from the vintage frost Basics 14th of December sheet.

The scallop circles underneath are made with  Spellbinders Nestabilities.

Behind it all you see a snowflake made with the snowflake die  of the Winter trails collection from studio Light.

I added an seambinding bow and some “snow” made with paper texture paste from Finnabair to complete the card and winter feeling.

Thank you for visiting , I hope you like the christmas card I made for you and that it gave you inspiration to get crafty.

Make shure you come back for lots more inspiration given by the other wonderful Maja Girls.

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Christmas is just a couple of days ahead and I just can’t wait for the celebration to begin, for the Christmas Eve family gathering, carol singing and eating traditional Polish food delicacies (it is a custom to have twelve courses for the Christmas Eve supper and you must at least try a bit of all of them!) And of course, it’s a great occasion for taking family photos to scrapbook later 😉

But before I take new pictures I still have some old ones that I used for this last layout and post this year:

I’m really happy that Maja releases Monochromes for each collection now! They save me a lot of wondering which paper to sacrifice for the background 😉 Here I layered two Monochromes papers under the main background sheet. Then I added some snowflakes stamps:

Then I matted the photos with pieces of papers and hand-cut tags and the title using foam gold letter stickers:

With each sheet, Maja gives you a bonus border on the signature strip. I really love using those snippets 🙂

I also added the flower cluster containing mulberry flowers, die-cut leaves, a chipboard bauble, a crystal gem and gold metallic ribbon:

The Playful sheet I chose for my background has a girl image in the bottom left hand corner, which didn’t really match my photos. So I just rolled it over and hid, putting another small flower cluster in between the layers 🙂

Here’s what I used for my layout:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Petaloo, Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Magnolia, Sizzix, Craft&You Design; punch: Woodware; stamp: Tim Holtz; chipboard: Scrapiniec; foam letters: American Crafts; felt snowflakes, bling: home&you; ribbon: my stash.

Since this is my last post this year, I’d like to wish you a very merry Christmas, filled with love, peace and joy, and all the best in the New Year!

Enjoy this time

Welcome friends!
Baby, it’s could outside … because it’s Winter time 🙂

Cozy time is coming! Time for long evenings with candlelight and good food. Time for

warm sweaters and cuddly socks.

I’m also a big fan from unique papers without motifs, because you have so many opportunities to create your background with stamps or watercolours and it’s always a perfect combination to all the other beautiful delicate papers from Maja Design.
First I primed the background with clear gesso, then I started by working my background with blue and white spray color ink and added some winter feeling stamps, like snowflakes, snowman, old trees.
used Maja Design papers from following collections

Joyous-Winterdays-P

942-Frost

946-Blizzard

Mono-Winterdays-P

955-Ice-blue-w-es

Denim-P

906-Wood

I love the color combi blue and brown with accents of white and black

some little silver stars for a bright and shiny effect

together with a leftover from a cuddly knit ribbon

and some cut stripes from the ‘Wood’ paper
