Goodmorning sweeties,

My husband’s aunt has three beautiful daughters and the oldest one just has a daughter herself {so there will a layout with the little Fenna really soon}, they always take pictures together and I love using them on my work. The one you see on the left is the oldest and her name is Annelijn, the one in the middle is Lidewij and the youngest is Marielot you see her on the right….For this layout I used the pretty NEW “Celebration” collection with a touch of yellow from the “Vintage Spring Basics”collection. The chipboards I used are by The Dusty Attic and the flowers are the new ones mixed with the older 49 and Market collections.

First I cut the Anniversary sheet in half then I put the outer edges together and cut about two cm’s from the outer edges what first were the inner edges {can you still follow lol} Then I turned the sheet 90 degrees after that I added a pretty grammar stamp by our lovely Pascale and a script stamp by Gabrielle. Later on I sprayed with some lindy’s and added a hearts stencil to my background sheet. All de edges of the paper I inked and distressed. Some of the chipboard pieces were already black and the other ones I gessod black and at the end I used a paintbrush with some white gold wax.

Maja Design papers used: Celebration: Anniversary & Glamour, Vintage Spring Basics: 1st of March. Mono Celebration-Pearl & Mono Celebration-Old Brass.

Thank you so much for your visit I hope I have inspired you to play with your Maja Design papers you have in you stash or even order new products I have used here. Did you already enter in our moodboard? We would love to see your work 😉

Have a lovely day!4

Hello our blog fans. Have you seen the new collections ?. “Denim&Friends” with new Monochromes are great! They are so universal – I have so many ideas to use them for. My today’s inspiration is a masculine card.

Denim&FriendsIt is a card for a nice young gentleman. From this papers you can create easily the masculine cards, albums etc.

Denim&FriendsI love layers … like you could already seen many times. I like to use a small details. Cut them and combine together.

Goodmorning to you lovely Maja Design Fans,

Oh boy when Monday the new collection came to my doorstep, I so badly wanted to dig in and create but I had to wait until yesterday to do so due to work. Sometimes I wish that I could create all day and that it is my job to do so….a girl can dream right? Denim & Friends is such a wonderful collection and it has some new designs and more of a masculine rusty feel to it that I am in l.o.v.e. For this layout I used another picture of Camilla her daugthers Tyra & Freja {cuties} I totally love how they smile on this picture and the cloths they are wearing totally fits this collection. That is why the title of my layout is “All Smiles”. I attempted to use all elements that would fit with jeans like buttons, a belt and by tearing and fading the papers.

Don’t you just love the woodgrain paper <3 it’s so gorgeous. Last Monday when I was happy that my DT box came in, another thing happened “my phone” died on me and as I always take pictures of my DT work with my phone you could have imagine how upset I was when that happened. Now I have to take pictures with my old phone and it is not doing my work any justice hopefully I will have my phone back in about 20 day’s {so very long grrr}

The chipboard I used are by The Dusty Attic and I also added some new flower ranges by 49 and Market as well as their beautiful stamps designed by Gabrielle Pollacco {YOU ROCK GIRL} I also added some of her new stencils to the background sheet to give my layout more demension.

The leaves you see are firstly stamped on the monochromes papers then cut out and inked so I could place them in the flower clusters. First I gessod the chipboard pieces and then treated them with acrylic paint and added a layer of glossy accents to make it shine a little that is what I also did with the phrase on the picture.

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcoem to the blog today 🙂

Have you seen the refreshed edition of the Sofiero collection that has been released lately? When I got the news abotu it I was very excited, firstly because when I began designing for Maja Design the collection was already retired, and secondly, because of the new addition, the Monochrome papers! This is such a good idea, no more painful decisions about which beautiful papers hide in the background! 🙂 And as this is a special release, I decided to make a special layout about a certain lady in red. Be careful, huge amount of cuteness ahead!

mdkora

I layered contrasting designs in the background and separated them with pom pom trim and lace:

I cut out a heart shape and made an initial plaque, then I added a resin angel wing:

I built the flowers cluster between the photos and placed the title in the decorative frame:

I also added some die-cut leaves to decorate the photo:

I decorate the other photo with a sentiment I cut out from one of the signature strips:

mdkora5

Adding bling and accenting details with glitter was a finishing touch. I really like the way the layout turned out, the beautiful pastel papers making the photos stand out! And look at this yummy dimension 🙂

And here’s what I used for the layout:

The Sofiero papers:

Other: dies: Spellbinders, Prima, Magnolia; flowers: Prima, Blue Fern Studios; chipboard: Tattered Angels; bling, trim, lace: my stash.

Thank you for visiting the blog today, and see you later!
